1.12 mf sorc help

Hello everybody,

It's been a while since I played D2. 1.09 was the last time i played. Now that D3 is coming out I wanted to start playing again.

Anyway, I need to start from scratch so I decided to make a MF Sorc. I'm not sure if anything changed since 1.09.

Which type of sorc build would be ideal for 1.12? Any guides would help thanks.

The's a few that stand out.

Meteorb sorcs - dual tree sorc using fireball, meteor and a good backup frozen orb. Can handle most things and is a very popular build.

Blizzard sorcs -never had one personally but people swear by this build being the most potent vs hell mephisto.

CL/FO hybrid. Another dual tree sorc using chain-lightning and frozen orb.

The guides are stickied at the top.

im debating between blizzard vs meteorb sorc.

I've read up on blizzard sorc and how they are the best for mf now

I've got a meteorb sorc using tal's set, just starting hell, so far so good.

When I returned to D2 myself recently, i was going to play meteorb also. But i read the guide on blizzard/fireball(blizzballer) sorc, and the versatility of the build caught my eye. Been using it ever since, and performs very well.

A light sorc is pretty good for key runs (you might want to look for what key runs are, if you dont know yet)

if you dont' have anything... blizz sorc is the way to go.
fireballers are too weak if you don't have decent (tal's set) gear
i had a blizz sorc running hell meph with 3ptopaz helm + 4ptopaz armor when the ladder reset
