1.10 Newbie Necro Help

    1.10 Newbie Necro Help

    Hey, I haven't really used the necro in 1.10 much, but i was thinking of making one and heres what i came up with:

    -Max Confuse
    -Max Bone Wall
    -Max Bone Spirit
    -Max Corpse Explode

    The general idea is to just let the monsters kick each other around and then I just have enough fire power to hasten to demise of one or two, then explode away. Kinda like the oldschool Arty necro with a twist...I know this is only scaled for clvl 70 ish but i haven't had much patience getting past around 80, so I figure it would work better for me. Oh btw, I have Marrowwalks I could use for the bug synergy.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Monsters don't deal enough damage to really hurt each other that much with confuse (i'm referring to hell difficulty for the most part here). Confuse is usually used to group them together for CE purposes and to keep them occupied. Don on a pair of marrowalks (w/o putting a point into bone prison) and you should be ok with your bone spirit damage, even though 2 synergies will be ignored. I must suggest that bone spear is a better choice for PvM.

    In that case, since I already have them together and busy, What would you suggest to get a bit more firepower to take down a few so i can blow the group?

    Attract can make monsters kill each other, because you have a whole lot of monsters who wail on one of their own. Like requiting your own army.

    I wouldn't max confuse, that seems sufficient with 1 point and +skills, invest into another bone synergy instead.

    I've used confuse quite a bit so far. I'd say 1 point + item skills is plenty. Even at ActV normal they don't do enough damage. Its still really great crowd control though. You'll save the day on cows humping a portal.

    Assuming the build's good. How about the bosses? How about Baal by itself in the World Stone Chamber? Confuse its replication and let them attack each other? That sounds...cool!!!

    AI curses do not work on Possessed Monsters, Champions, Super Uniques, Minions of Destruction, Oblivion Knights and Act Bosses.

    Isn't the Marrowwalk bug gone now? Also, I think it would be better if you just power up both spear AND spirit (they synergize each other, correct?) Also, 1 point confuse is plenty, since you should have some amount of +skills.
