1.08/1.09 player seeking advice

Hey all, I've tried using search and I couldn't find a thread specific enough for my queery so I hope ya don't mind me making this thread.

Myself and a friend returned for the 1.11 patch, I'm working on my MF character and he's thinking about re-making his assassin. Back when he played in 1.09 Bartuc's was the only unique claws available but now there are a few more, however as far as I can tell Bartuc's still seems to be the weapon of choice especially considering level/str/dex requirements. Is there something I'm overlooking or I am I right in thinking that Bartuc's is still the superior weapon? If I find one of the other weapons while MFing would they be worth keeping for my friend?

For the most part, a pair of Bartuc's is a really good combo. Almost all assassin builds will use a pair at some point.(Jade talon makes for a close second, lots of res can help a wwsin) But, a Chaos runeword is probally the best claw for an assassin, and it is also expensive.

'Tucs are the best claw overall. Chaos is the best claw only if you want to make a ww 'sin, then having one is mandatory. For any other build, it's far from the best.

However, don't neglect to grab any jade talons that drop as they are great for providing resists. There is a build that can make use of all the uniques, but for all around goodness, the 'Tuc is still king.
