Hey guys,

Sorry for bumping this topic. I am back on reinstalling Diablo and I though I would try the blizzard's installer way. I made an account on Blizzard's site but I can not find anywhere D2 to register with my CD keys and download the game installer.

Any help...? Thanks.

I went to account then to add games and it automatically opens a new window with a bar to enter a code ("Use this page to redeem game keys, game time codes, game item codes, and pre-paid cards for Battle.net balance.")

Do I have to add the d2 serial on this one? I didn't get a chance to choose a game yet though so will it automatically detect it's from Diablo or something?

Thanks for the help.

I don't remember if they changed this since when I redeemed all my classic games, but yes I'd say it's where you add the game. What do you have to lose in trying? ;)

Well, I didn't really want to "experiment" with my serials :D but I think I figured everything out.
It's downloading d2 right now and it's taking hours...!

Okay, the download has finished and on installation it asks for the CD key. However, it says "enter the 26 character CD key" while my serial is only 16 characters.. what am I supposed to do now? :(
It doesn't accept my valid D2 serial...

Edit: With some searching I found out that they provide you with a new serial. Installing!

Hope you were able to get 1.07 running. I had similar issues last year because the game CD's I owned were V1.12. 1.12 allows you to play D2 without CDS which is awesome, but when you try to use Trenshadow with 1.12 disc, you will get the missing dll messages. Blizzard made the 1.12 disc able to patch up but they removed the ability to down patch which is a bummer for most of us who like to explore patches. The only way I was able to time travel was obtaining some 1.07 disc.. which.. was a HUGE hassle since they aren't readily available on the market (amazon, ebay, walmart). I spent literally hundreds of dollars on amazon buying different battle chest, single game CDs, ect. So much heartache I seriously almost lost my mind! I am not techy either so ISO's werent an option, plus I was sketchy about the legality of it all. I was very fortunate to have a friend who happened to have a spare set of 1.07 D2's for me to buy. Once you get the 1.07 CDs your golden and can use the version switchers with no problem. Anyways, good luck buddy!
