0os Items??

Ok, a very simple question

There's a lot of people in the trading Forums asking of 0os equipement.

I've read that os mean open socket. Does that mean that, for exemple, a 0os Helm refer to a plain "White" Helm?

If so, I would also like to know the use of those item if possible.

Thanks

Yes, "os" seems to literally mean "open socket." Though, I don't understand that, since that should mean that a 6 socket item with 6 els in it is a 0os item. There are zero open sockets. So, Xos really means "X socket item, all empty." So, 0os refers to a white named item.

You can use the cube or larzuk's socket quest to put sockets into white (or ethereal) items. If you want a 5os phase blade, for example, this is one of two ways of getting one. The other being that you find a pb that already has 5os. Some people might also imbue high quality white items.

Echo what SnickerSnack said. "0os" means "no sockets."

Larzuk's socket quest gives the max sockets to the item that it can get based on its level -- this is an important point. In many cases, when someone is looking for a 0os item, it is because they know they can use Larzuk to socket it with a particular number of sockets. For example, someone wanting to make a Chains of Honor runeword in an archon plate may look to trade for either a 4os or 0os base armor, because they know it will get (in almost all cases) 4os from Larzuk. Another case is that people may want 0os ethereal armors in order to ebug them.
