Diablo will never be an MMO says Blizzard

Over the years there has been mutterings about the possibility of Diablo eventually becoming an MMO. If you were hoping that at some point in the future you’d be battling the forces of hell with thousands of other players then you can forget it.  According to Blizzard’s Kevin Martens who was speaking to Kotaku all talk of an MMO version at Blizzard is off the table.

David Craddock’s “Stay Awhile and Listen” Now Available

Today is the release of David Craddock’s ebook “Stay Awhile and Listen.” This is the first volume of an extensively-documented oral history of the early days of Blizzard and Condor, which became Blizzard North. The book covers the earliest days of both studios as they toiled away on various console ports and moved towards their first big titles, Warcraft and Diablo, and continues up through the development and breakout success of Diablo I.

Diablo.IncGamers and DM Press Present: “You Can’t Take It with You” Contest

Back in October 2011 we interviewed author David Craddock on the podcast and heard all about his ongoing project; Stay Awhile and Listen, a book charting the history of Blizzard North and the development of the early Diablo games. The project grew much larger than David anticipated back then, and he’s been working on it ever since. You probably heard his name now and then when he popped up with curious tidbits about how Diablo was almost set in space, was almost turned into a Diablo Jr. for the Gameboy, how Hardcore almost made its debut in Diablo 1, and more.

David Craddock Interviewed

Details on the Founding of Blizzard North
