EvilMe points us to Dutch site Gamer.NL where there’s a new interview with Jay Wilson from Gamescom last month. It’s a short interview, but they get right to the point with the requisite questions about the Real Money Auction House and the Always-Online DRM, before concluding with a couple of non-standard (and thus more interesting) questions about other ARPGs. I’ll quote the Google translation of those.

Blizzard Europe ran a contest during Gamescom, where fans could take their picture with the Diablo street art display in the Rudolfplatz, style it up a bit, and post it on some form of social media. The three best entries were promised a spot in the Diablo III beta, and today Bliz EU posted the winners. You can see them below, and all three are pretty clever and deserving, I think.

GameReactor has posted a video of their eight-minute interview with Diablo III console lead developer Josh Mosqueira. The interview was recorded at Gamescom last month, and while there’s not really any “new” info, it’s a nice conversation. Josh gives a good overview of a bunch of game features, talks about the massive whiteboards the D3 team uses for brainstorming, enthuses about their efforts to build the best console team ever, and more. Enjoy.

A few days ago, Danish site Diablo3x.dk posted three short gameplay movies recorded from the monitors at Gamescom 2011 earlier this month. Though there’s no sound and the gameplay action is nothing special, but the video quality is quite good for a ninja cam, even allowing for the lens cover strap that dangles partially in front of the lens through most of the first video.

Jay was obviously busy so Josh Mosqueira is the man answering the questions from German site Gemwelt. In this interview Josh talks about the gameplay experience and, yes you guessed it, the auction house.

Another video interview of Jay Wilson has gone online, courtesy of PCGames.de. You can view, or at least open another tab and listen to it here. Thanks to Sefer for being the first with the tip, via our handy main page SUBMIT NEWS button. (Which I wanted for years, but am now beginning to dread since there’s so much stuff coming in from helpful readers that it’s hard to keep up.)

Blizzard showed off three new slides of class Gear Sets during their Diablo III presentation at Gamescom 2011, and after most fans got over their “new info new visuals cerebral cortex lock up!” reaction, a more critical evaluation has begun. Often with the aid of anime robot images.
French Diablo site JudgeHype took part in a group interview of Jay Wilson at Gamescom. There’s no video or full transcript (yet), and the bullet point write up is in French. However, Google translation does a good job on that language, and there are several very interesting tidbits reported.
Elly and Flux tackle the weeks Diablo 3 news, with commentary on beta delays, the Inferno difficulty level, Gamescom pictures and info, fan reactions to the Real Money Trading Auction House, and more.
The nominations were announced days before the show, and the winners have been proclaimed after just one day of the show. (why it’s almost enough to make you think the “judging” was done well with Golden Globes-like integrity, rather than being based on the versions of the games actually shown at Gamescom!) At any rate, a winner is Diablo III!
