There have been a lot of requests for video of the Diablo 3 Art Panel from BlizzCon 2009. It’s not been posted anywhere before, so we tracked down the footage and we have now added it to IncGamers TV. The panel is split into two segments due to its length so check out BlizzCon 2009 Art Panel Part 1 and BlizzCon 2009 Art Panel Part 2 now on IncGamers TV.
Much has been posted about the first Diablo 3 panel from this year’s Blizzcon, which focused on the Heroes and Monsters. There are videos of the panel, and much has been written about the Monk info. There was some good stuff on other character spells, and on monster design as well. After all of that though, the last 10 minutes were devoted to questions from the audience, and of that I’ve seen zero coverage. It’s not included in the videos on YouTube, and if some site has posted the transcript, I’ve never seen it in my endless news searching…. which means it probably doesn’t exist.

Here they are. Every Wizard skill in the game, sorted by skill tree. There are 30 of them, and each skill has its full hover text, with info about function, damage type, cool down time, and mana cost. We’ve also added some commentary to all of the skills, many of which we were able to test out in the Blizzcon demo.

Following up yesterday’s reveal of all the Barbarian skills, here they are for the Witch Doctor. This article contains information for every Witch Doctor skill in the Blizzcon 2009 demo build, sorted by tier and skill tree. There are 35 of them, and each skill has its full hover text, with info about function and mana cost. We’ve also added some commentary to all of the skills, many of which we were able to test out in the Blizzcon demo.

The team attending Blizzcon 2009 sat down in the early hours of this morning to record the IncGamers BlizzCon Podcast Special which covers just about everything from this year’s event including Diablo 3, WoW and StarCraft. Maticus was on hand to discuss WoW along with Jeff Hollis, Flux from diii.net and Tamer Asfahani from IncGamers. They discuss their highlights, disappointments and speculate on the confirmed new MMO IP. Tune in now!

There have been a ton of news items posted from and about Blizzcon. We’ll compile them all once we have a chance (as we did last year with 100+ links), but for now here’s a selection of the stuff worth reading from the past couple of days. More reports will be filed in the days to come, especially by us, since we’ve got tons more info to post, once we have time to write it up. (We have hover info for every skill in the game, plus I got over an hour play time on all 4 chars, and will discuss them accordingly.) In the meantime, you can while away your time discussing the bearded one in our new Monk forum.

The Monk’s skills were an odd mixture at Blizzcon this year. There were only 8 of them, spread over 3 generically-named skill trees, but all of the skills in the game seemed very polished and worked nicely. I suspect that a lot of others are done but were held back to retain more surprises, and that lots of others must be in the “under construction” phase. There were no skills shown with icon and description, and a “disabled” tag, as was true for the other characters.

We’ve already posted a bullet point listing of the PowerPoint from this panel, and you can view blurry videos on YouTube, but since I attended it, took a lot of notes, and typed up a panel overview with a lot of comments based on my own Monk-playing experience, you should find this worth reading. If you’re interested in the newest D3 character, at least.
