The huge leap in monster hit points on T7+, and especially in T10, is obvious when you play or look at the actual figures. In a nutshell, when you go up to T10 the monsters don’t gain that much in exp value or gold find value, and they don’t do much more damage, but their hit points skyrocket.

Blizzard has updated their game guide with some of the general game changes in Patch 2.3, including the increased rewards and perils you’ll find on the new, higher levels of Torment. We wrote an article about this back at the start of the PTR, trying to figure if Torment 10 was worth it, and included the interesting figures *not* listed on Blizzard’s page.

Blizzard has posted another preview of some of the big changes coming up in Patch 2.3. Adventure Mode has a lot of changes (almost all improvements) and the preview discusses streamlined crafting recipes, much faster Infernal Machine harvesting, improvements to Bounties and Bonus Acts, and changes to Rifts and Greater Rifts (no more Realm of Trials).

One topic that came up on the Podcast was the issue of Torment 10, and if the higher difficulty was worth the effort. Experience greatly increases on the higher torment difficulty levels that are added to the game in Patch 2.3.0, but how do the other benefits such as higher legendary drop rate, more cache materials, better
KeyWarden KeyMachine drops, more material drops, etc, stack up?

There’s an ongoing community project/contest to achieve the fastest clear time for 10 Nephalem Rifts on Torment 6 difficulty, with fans reporting their times in a thread in the B.net Barbarian forum. Given that it originated in that Barb forum the entrants are largely Barbs, but some other classes make appearances as well, even in the top times.

The subject of our developer interview at Blizzcon 2014 was Travis Day, a Systems Designer on Diablo 3. Armed with a big list of questions whittled down from the dozens of excellent suggestions you guys offered, I hit Travis with almost every big question on the list, and quite a few small ones as well.

Blizzard offered up an interesting build in this week’s “Play Your Way Thursday” with a build title that sounds like a Witch Doctor, but is for a Demon Hunter semi-awkwardly sandwiching two different types of builds into one package. I found it interesting as a DH build that’s not just the standard anti-pewpewpew “cast multiple sentries and run around until while they kill things” approach.
