Watch BlizzCon Opening Ceremony Stream for Free

watch blizzcon for free

If you are not planning to buy a Virtual Ticket to watch BlizzCon this year, fear not you can at least see the opening ceremony stream for free. You also get to watch some of the tournaments for free.

The opening ceremony is scheduled to begin on Friday at 11 a.m. Pacific, and tournaments run throughout both days of the show.  You can see what time that is for you on the BlizzCon Schedule (includes your local time).

Check out the virtual ticket section of Battle.Net for details.

As an aside, we’ve started to fill up our photo gallery of the convention centre taken by attendees, photos of the queuing (into the night) and goody bag included.

  1. Oh, it’s 8 p.m. for me, though I’m planning on watching Return of the King, so I’ll be reading a lot when I’ll wake up next morning 🙂

  2. Ironically, this post actually made me give in and buy a virtual ticket. I know what’ll happen next, I’ll end up watching some WoW stuff, then get tempted to play it again, buy Mists of Pandaria and then I’ll wake up and it’ll be 2018.

Apparently there is another WoW expansion in the works so you will be stuck for years.

    • Great. At this rate I’ll spend less time locked in a small room if I go outside and start killing people.

  4. Btw, the counter on the main site here at diablo.incgamers.com has got to be wrong for us here in Europe? It currently says 52 mins to go, while there another 1h and 52 mins to go until Blizzcon starts?

  5. I was just about to say that, Lord_Vega. Going off the official site’s schedule and the schedule that Elly linked to, it’s just under 2 hours to go. Going off the countdown that’s been running on this site for a while, it’s just less than an hour.

  6. So where exactly is the stream? Can’t find it on the virtual ticket page, nor do I see any mention to it on the Blizzcon main page.

    • That wasn’t the link in the news item when I shared the news here. The link that WAS there was the one that is in the news item.

Great big “Watch Now” button right under the “Buy Now” button, right on the main page.
