TorchED, the Torchlight editing tools, were only released a few weeks ago, but fans are already making amazing progress in creating new and cool stuff with them. Some are even recreating other games, as demonstrated by this very cool recreation of the demo dungeon shown in the first Diablo 3 gameplay movie. It’s not an exact match, since TL art assets don’t (yet) exist to recreate everything seen in the D3 demo, and the game physics works differently; no ghouls climbing up the sides of the level. But it’s a nice start, and the designer says he’s going to recreate the entire D3 debut trailer dungeon, which will almost literally give us the ability to play D3 while we wait for… D3.

I took some screenshots and matched them up to shots from the D3 demo taken from our image gallery, so you can compare with your own eyes. Click through to see two more of those, and both of the movies. Thanks to Nebulus for the news tip.
