The Diablo 3 Podcast #33: Weekly News Attack, August 19, 2011

Elly and Flux tackle the weeks Diablo 3 news, with commentary on beta delays, the Inferno difficulty level, Gamescom pictures and info, fan reactions to the Real Money Trading Auction House, and more.

Elly and Flux run down the news items of the past week, with our customary wit, irreverence, and Flux’s inappropriate jokes. Topics include the newly-announced Inferno difficulty level, new screenshots and over-blown character armor looks from Gamescom, street art in Germany, Real Money Trading issues, Diablo III’s death penalty, and more

As usual, the YouTube version is basically a video feature, with numerous video clips, photos of the issues under discussion, game artwork and screenshots, and much more.

  1. First! yay!

I think the 5% of the people not caring about RMT = HC players like me. I believe RMT is not available on HC 🙂

    Kind regards,

    Daan

    • So does that mean there’s substantially more people who care about playing SC without RMT than HC players who play HC so they can play without RMT?

    • I don’t care about RMT because I’ll play in private games by myself or with friends I meet through forums.  You can still play “singleplayer” even though you cannot play offline.

  2. Isn’t Battlefield Heroes a free game? What if they did this with Battlefield 3?

  3. Welcome to the diablo Podcast in German:
    “Willkommen zum Diablo Podcast”
Pronounced: “Willcommon tsoom Diablo podcast” (while the “oo” in tzoom is rather short)

  4. “High level armour has to be sparkly and big and pointy and sort of ARGH!”
    Rofl

  5. No one has answered me as to whether or not we get to have “Ghosts” of our dead HC characters in D3…

    I hope we will…

  6. Absolutely disagree with you Flux and Elly, I love the monk set. Although i would rather see it on the male model. Wizard set looks gorgeous too. But hey, just my 2 cents. Thanks for the upload!

  7. On the inferno topic, with blizzard it seems like that “No they would never do that!” mentality always comes true, eh? haha.

And whats going on here… no barb set slide?!?!?

  8. I´m not sure how many people know this, but if they are looking for historical dates for Diablo 3, there is the end of World War I (cease of hostilities, peace treaty was signed year later). It ended on November 11th, 1918, or 11/11/18 at 11pm.

  9. The monk looks extremely silly….makes me feel like I’m watching Kabuki theater.
