We hear rumbles of thunder outside as rain hits the window in the head librarian’s office with a candle on his desk flickering as he turns pages in another old book looking through records for the mysterious Archivist. “Who is this man?”, he muttered to himself. “No matter how many records I look through it’s like all the information on him was either lost or disposed of.”

A knock is heard at his office door as the head librarian’s assistant walks in. “Still scouring the old records again. I swear that man was a mystery. He hands me that book and then when I look away for a moment he was gone. I wonder if he may have been tied to the older library before we took over Sir.” The head librarian slowly closes the book and gets up from his desk. “I considered that a possibility but I wanted to be sure. Are my weekly guests here yet?” His assistant turns around and starts walking out of the doorway. “Of course Sir; they are grabbing their torches as we speak.” “Well then lets not keep them waiting.” says The head librarian as he blows out the candle on his desk.

Greetings friends and guests. Welcome to The Dark Library. We are still renovating some of the wings so be careful as you look around. But first I want to share the 3rd chapter from Bane: Hero of the North by Bane and instead of reading an older chapter of The Key by Tamrend I will share with you a transcript for his latest chapter. Now then set back and relax as I read the first paragraphs.

First story from the collection as I said is Chapter 3: The Black Spider – from Bane: Hero of the North by DiabloWikiBane.

His eyes are blurring, unable to see correctly in the caverns of darkness he has found himself in. His left arm reaches out to the rock that makes up this particular caverns walls for support while is other arm is hanging down at his side, a chain following it.

Bane is weak and he knows he would most probably die in this dark underground world without help. A shot of green smoke rises from the rock ground like a mini volcano filling the room with its thick and vile smell.

Next up is a preview of Chapter 24: Ral – from DiabloWikiThe Key by DiabloWikiTamrend.

Father Rehan?s head slipped out of his palm and he jerked awake. Groaning, he shook the snow from his clothing. The sky above was steely gray, faintly lit in the east by the newly risen sun. The snowfall had slowed to a quiet dusting of flakes, but when he wriggled out of the narrow gap between buildings where he had taken refuge, the soft powder came up above his knees.

Stretching cramped muscles and grumbling in a manner that would have gotten him looks of astonishment, had anyone been near enough to hear, the paladin wanted nothing more than to be able to push thoughts of the girl and her problems from his mind. What could he do? He didn?t know where she lived, or what could have happened to stop her from the meeting she had planned.

“That is all I have for you this time everyone. Please feel free to walk around and check out some of the older books here. Just becareful of the renovations. Set back and make yourselves at home while this storm blows through.” The head librarian gets up from his chair and starts to walk out from the lobby. “Now if you’ll excuse me I need to do some investigating in western wing of the library…”
