Rustling of pages are heard as the head librarian is looking through some old records in his office. His assistant walks to his door and knocks. “Sir your guests for the weekly tour are here.” The Head Librarian pauses for a moment and looks up from the rather large aging tome. “Good, I’ll be down in a moment.” The assistant walks away as the head puts pulls up a ribbon bookmark and closes the tome as a huge plume of dust flies off his desk. *Coughs* “Damn still nothing in our records about an Archivist working here.” The head librarian gets up from his desk and walks out of his office to greet his guests.

Greetings friends and guests; I bid you welcome to The Dark Library. Sorry there haven’t been many tours as of late. I have been doing some research on some old books. This week I bring you another chapter from the tome called Bane: Hero of the North by DiabloWikiBane, and transcripts of the latest chapter of The Key by Tamrend. Let’s begin shall we.

Let?s start this week with Chapter 2: An Underground World of Bane: Hero of the North by DiabloWikiBane. Here?s the first paragraph of the chapter.

Bane patted his pouch of coins that lay on his saddle pack. He had earned his money well he thought as he recalls the past few days events. He shakes his head as he recalls the awesome power of magic that held him frozen to the seat in the recruitment office and had killed the man called Kelmor. He also remembers the weapons he had used to great effect after his capture. He had almost got used to the chains.

With all the research I was doing I received a letter from Tamrend showing me the first part of his latest chapter. He’s been busy these days with his writing. Here let me show you the first few lines from Chapter 23: The Other Side of Despair.

“Steady,” Alain barked, holding up one hand. “Bows to ready, take aim and hold.”

Shael notched an arrow and waited while the crossbowmen labored to load their weapons. Facing them across the broken terrain, the goatmen fanned out and moved forward, making room for those behind. Slayers began to join them, hunched beetle-like in their armor, and then the towering figures of maulers. Last came the clan lords, roaring words of command in the harsh demon tongue.

“Here they come,” Syd said, as a massive cry went up from the demons. Their rage seemed to boil the very air as they marched forward

That’s all I have for you all this week. Next time I’ll share another chapter from Bane: Hero of the North and an older chapter of The Key. Now If you’ll excure me I need to do some more research. Please follow my assistant he will help you as you leave the library.

Next week we will bring you more from the fan fiction community in the same conveniently posted bitesize format as well as some works from fan monster and fan class creators. If you have made fan fiction that has not yet been posted in the Diablo fan fiction forum, or just got inspired to do so, head over there and post your material, or ask questions to other fan writers regarding lore, writing style or other input. See you next week!
