Greetings everyone, and welcome back to The Dark Library. Don?t forget your torches at the door while you head towards the center lobby. This week I will bring you more from the Tome – Lost Creatures & Cultures of Sanctuary. Now let?s begin.

Inside the Tome this time I found another lost creature. This one uses its telekinesis to eat and move things. Meanwhile when in the Death Claw combat uses its huge claws to attack when threatened. Here is an artists rendition of the beast; take a look as I read off some of its background.

Death Claws attack with their main weapon – the claws. They can also attack with the horns on their head. They possess some basic telekinesis and that’s how they serve themselves (eating and picking things). With their telekinesis they can push their enemies back. They can also leap to their victim and attack with their claws (both). When they don’t see a victim they walk slowly. If an enemy appears they run to him and attack. They like to attack in groups. They actually move in groups – four, five or six (up to six). Some of them wear armors and boots taken from their victims, but that’s rare thing.

Next up I’ll read for you another chapter from The Key. This time it is Chapter 12: Snare. This chapter has multiple parts to it so I will read a portion from the first part.

Kelsia let her breath go suddenly, but then held the very next. The distant knocking of a woodpecker was the only sound on the crisp, cold air. She leaned slowly outward, straining for a sign of the hellspawn. The tree hid her view just as well as it hid her. Only fractured glimpses of the road could be seen through the foliage. She knew that Marius and Seith were down there on the ground somewhere, but she could see no sign of either of them.

How long have I been sitting up here? she wondered. Too long, it seemed. Had the hellspawn gotten wind of their presence? Could they have anticipated this ploy and taken another route to flank them? The thought was enough to make her sit up and scan her surroundings carefully, but of course she could see only patches of ground through the dense foliage. They could be sneaking up behind them right now and they wouldn?t know it until it was too late.

That is all I have for you this week everyone. I’ll share some more history from this old Tome as well as some more from the Winds of the Kae Huron. Watch out on your way to the front we are still finishing up some last minute fixes to the library. Don?t forget to put out your torch at the door and leave the wood piece in the collection bin.

Next week we will bring you more from the fan fiction community in the same conveniently posted bitesize format as well as some works from fan monster and fan class creators. If you have made fan fiction that has not yet been posted in the Diablo fan fiction forum, or just got inspired to do so, head over there and post your material, or ask questions to other fan writers regarding lore, writing style or other input. See you next week!
