Grab your torch as we go down into the deep dark annals of The Dark Library for some more fan fiction from the Diablo world.

First we dust off a very old, and Moldy Tome by Indefatigable. This Diablo II prequel is about a Necromancer and a boy. A boy whom the necromancer wants to teach how to use the gifts he was born with. Here I?ll read you a part from the book:

A Moldy Tome: Chapter One: Vermin

To look at him, nobody would think the old man could move as fast as he did that morning.

Walking stick in one hand and wand in the other, he burst from the kitchen onto the garden path, frightening a pair of doves into twittering flight. There — something moved among the leaves, too big to be a badger or a raccoon (and neither a badger nor a raccoon would carry a blade to slice a melon from a vine so cleanly).

He aimed and muttered a curse. The mist formed and flew to its target; something struggled and thrashed briefly between the rows of aubergines, and finally lay still.

Let?s see now what else do we have on this old bookshelf. Aha! An old book of poetry, and let?s see what we can find in this old thing. Interesting; there is a poem called The Cow King by mrGrobyILM. Here have a listen at this first passage.

    The Cow King

A transmuting flash in the back of my eyes,
A shiny red portal – true, no surprise.
I enter and watch as my mind unfurled
the secrets within, secrets kept by burrowed.

Looks like our torches are getting low so let?s get out of this place for now. Let?s check back in a week and see what else we can find in this amazing library.

Next week we will bring you more from the fan fiction community in the same conveniently posted bitesize format. If you have made fan fiction that has not yet been posted in the Diablo fan fiction forum, or just got inspired to do so, head over there and post your material, or ask questions to other fan writers regarding lore, writing style or other input. See you next week!
