The Dark Library #11 - Diablo Poetry

Welcome to the next installment of The Dark Library. This week we bring you some poetry. Since we haven’t posted any yet; it was a good time to start! This week we bring The Ballad of Ib by DiabloWikiWondersmith and The Chamber of Bone by DiabloWikiBereyn. Please enjoy the first poems in the TDL.

The Ballad of Ib

This tale is of Ib. A Flayer was he,
Who lived in a jungle of vine and tree–
A pygmy, a runt to such folk as we,
But never a braver soul shall there be!

Ib was a demon, a minion of Hell,
Yet in his heart hatred never did dwell.
Like all of his clan he tried to be bad,
But the thought of killing just made him sad.

The Chamber of Bone

Down in the darkness of the old Monastary.
There lies a danger for those unwary.
The bleached-white bones of the undead flower.
From which most men would run or cower.

Next week we will bring you more from the fan fiction community in the same conveniently posted bitesize format. If you have made fan fiction that has not yet been posted in the Diablo fan fiction forum, or just got inspired to do so, head over there and post your material, or ask questions to other fan writers regarding lore, writing style or other input. See you next week!
