Standard Edition Box Cover Opening Video

Loos like some boxes are shipping out very early and we have an unboxing of the standard edition of the game today. A minor spoiler alert on this, but if you ordered it you are going to see the spoiler before you install the game anyway. I will place this after the fold becuase the video’s title kind of gives the spoiler away. Thanks to DiabloIIIChris for the tip. Now watch the video…

  1. The cinematics disc is out there too, so spoilers are sure to be incoming any time now.

    Why would they put that on the box, btw? Lots of people are going to be pissed when they get the game.

  4. I would appreciate this box on my CE, not the cheap plastic box =S.
    For a full Diablo 3 experience from day one I must buy the CE delivered after, the normal version for the cool box and the digital version for the day one key xDD 

  5. This is hardly an unboxing. More of a box preview.

  6. That would have been the last thing that I would have expected on the box.  I shied away from ever mentioning the quest icons just so I wouldn’t spoil it for those that wanted the *pure* experience.

  7. meeting the butcher was the single most memorable moment in the whole Diablo universe.
    you meet some dying guy on your way down:
    Please, listen to me, the Archbishop Lazarus, he led us down here to find the lost prince, the bastard led us into a trap! now everyone is dead…killed by a demon he called the butcher, avenge us!
    Find this butcher and slay him so that our souls may finally rest…

    after opening a certain door you hear a deep voice calling:”fresh meat”, after that you are being chased by a fat demon with a very fast cleaver attack. This one hacks you life away with a few strokes…
    i know everybody here knows that moment, still i had ro recap it…

      • Though some may have seen it as a “harmless joke”, the fact that many people don’t think twice about commenting on the physical appearance of a woman in a video where physical appearance is totally irrelevant – but that it’s much less common for this to happen to a man – is an implicit indication of a double-standard.

  14. The box is done just like the SC2 box was done. So they’ll fit perfectly to each other. Cool box! 🙂

  15. SPECULATIVE SPOILER ALERT.

    “Justice shall fall” is such a stupid tagline. That’s more of a spoiler than the image of the act 1 boss. Justice is a very broad concept, and concepts don’t “fall”, so this is a fairly obvious reference to Tyrael.

  17. Is it possible – POSSIBLE – that it doesn’t mean what we think it means?  And for all of the hype they’ve given their secrecy on the plot, that this is a red herring?
