Season Four: Season Journey Completed

news-season-journey-s4-completeBy now, most players have found (often to their surprise) that the themed achievement park of the Season Journey is actually a pretty fun ride. I was skeptical when I first saw it on the PTR for Patch 2.3, but found myself enjoying it when building my first Seasonal character on the PTR.

Yes, the first 5 or 6 pages are all things you should be doing anyway, to the point that you’d have more trouble *not* earning them, but when you do get one there’s blinking graphics and flashing lights and every page or two you get a new profile border. And even the shadow-less Blue Dog! Completing the higher pages of the SJ are quite grind-tastic, but many players have already achieved it this season, including some who work at Blizzard.

If you’re not one of those early achievers, you’re probably wondering what all of the requirements are. Conveniently, our DiabloWikiSeason Journey DiabloWiki.net article is now complete with all of the achievements listed, plus screenshots of every page, plus all the rewards, etc.

View the Wiki article for all the bells and whistles, and it’s interesting to compare the PTR versions of Chapters 1-6 to the Live version, which are actually easier than the initial PTR achievements in several cases. If you just want the quick list of what’s required for every page, here you go. Season Four: Season Journey Completed:

    1. I'm at chapter 6 which the 25 cube power is bugged but if you complete higher ones (like greed) you still see them ding. Hopefully they fix the bug so I can continue but knowing them ahead I can already complete a few without seeing the log.

    2. It definitely is! Gives you a reason to push forward other than the leaderboards. I really like the new portraits, blue dog is meh though. Like there isn't already enough stuff on the screen lol.

    3. I had a lot of fun completing this journey and was actually a bit sad to finish it.   I really like this addition to the game since it has a bit of something for everyone.  The pet and standard portrait are easily accessible and the further portraits let you show your dedication to these achievements.

    4. By the time I finally took a look at the list of objective because the thing was staring me in the face at character select showing "Chapter 2: 7/8 complete!" for such a long time, and I saw that it was "Transmog your shit! :D" And so I said "fine". So I transmog and then instantly 'ding' 'ding' 'ding' 'Chapters 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 are Complete!' Apparently I'd completed chapters 1 through 6 just by playing the game.[LINEBREAK]  But sure, they are a bit of fun, and provide something nice to do when you're sick of the regular grind. But really, without sounding too much like a Grinch, I'd rather they spent that development time on, I don't know, fixing bugs? I've heard there's a little glitch with the Hellfire amulet…

    5. They really need to do something about the Challenges in the consoles. They use this radial menu system with small windows. The sorting feature of challenges is a mess. It’s hard to track similar challenges/achievements. I loved doing the challenges pre RoS on the pc, especially when we had norm-inferno and the drop rates were nearly abysmal.

Hopefully they’ll put journeys on the consoles =P

    6. Got to Chapter IV done and ragequit really, really hard after cube-crafting my 15th Paddle in a row. Working as intended, I know… but I have plenty of more useful things to be doing than flushing hours down the toilet with tedious cube recipes. Man, that whole thing soured fast, didn't it?

    7. O wow, I thought it went up to VI and no further. Damn, I got work to do!

    8. I'm stuck at the silver portrait, and am trying to figure out if I can find a way to get the gold one. FYI, the GR 40 w/o sets is by far the easiest Conquest.

    9. Playing solo, I do think the main bottle neck will be the "finish a Tx rift in less than y mm" on the PTR, it with the only point I lack for completing chapter V. I guess the more difficult is finally to farm for friends which play hardcore…

    10. Finishing it was my orginal goal but seeing chapter 9 "solo GR60"… UNPOSSIBURU!!! 😉 No, really. there is no way in hell I'm gonna reach GR60. I might be able to play hardcore to 70 (although I suck at not dying) but this?… Oh well, I'll just see how far I can get.

    11. It's amusing that they slap "Reach level 70 in Hardcore" into the final chapter like it is some kind of super-difficult thing.

    12. I'm stuck on chapter 3.  My first character died at 68, then 66, then 12, and I've been too busy playing other games to come back to D3.  =P

    13. LOL. Just realized what you are talking about… I thought this achievements thing was finished by chapter 4!Blue dog is such a bull*** btw..

    14. I'm slowly working my way through the season journey. Currently I'm working on chapter 4. As a solo player I don't know if I'll be able to fully complete the journey, but I'll have fun trying.

    15. The finish TXX in XX minutes is ridiculous.
Not all classes are even going to be capable of the higher ones.

And theres a conquest to do torment X at max level.. in 2minutes.. solo
How the hell are some classes \like a sader\ going to do this?
Going to need 1500 paragon to even attempt it as far as im concerned

I had to reroll my top geared hammersader to monk just to finish some of the other ridiculous ones.

this is why all you see now are monks and barbarians, with the occasional doctor.

There is ZERO thought put into these as far as im concerned.
