A few quick blue posts on various issues that come up all the time. I’ll go first, since the most-asked question I see in-game and in the forums is about the orange dot beside some item affixes. Refer to the image to the right, and you see it on most of the secondary affixes on the Hellfire Ring.

hellfire-ring-ros-compare1The orange means that affix is *not* part of the game’s red/green item comparison evaluation. The affix is something that doesn’t directly affect damage or survival (like Gold Find) or else it’s something like a bonus to a single skill or damage type. Those can be very powerful modifiers, but the game can’t assume that you’ll use that skill, or Lightning damage, or whatever, so they’re not factored into the item power comparison.

Also, the last patch added in a visual (the blue swirl) that shows which affix on an item you’ve enchanted. You see it by the Critical hit Chance on the rare ring in the screenshot. It’s still buggy; it doesn’t show if that affix gets an orange diamond and it doesn’t show if the enchant added a socket, but that’s why we’re still in the beta test.

To move to the Blue quotes, here’s a sort of FAQ from recent forum posts:

Siegebreaker’s DiabloWikiReflects Damage is way too high
We recently identified an issue in 2.0.1 PTR/RoS Beta that inflated damage done by reflects damage effect sin an unintended way. We have a fix in place internally now, and you guys should see the effects of this change in the next PTR/Beta patch.

Thanks for the reports so far. Be sure to keep testing this after the patch (coming soon) and let us know how it feels.

Can flail weapon can be transmog to other 1 handed weapons like sword or axe?i would like to see my very own crusader with sword and board =)
The short answer is that a flail can only be DiabloWikitransmogrified into another flail. The primary restrictions for what weapons can be transmogrified into other weapons has to do with class restrictions and animations, as some of the previous posts already pointed out. However, you’d be able to change an axe or shiny new mace into a sword to stick with a sword and board theme with your Crusader.

If I kept Vanilla unid legendaries and Identified them in RoS could I transmog them?
You will not be able to use vanilla Legendary items (unid or otherwise) as a transmogrification option in the future. Regular items will unlock as you level up the Mystic, but the only way to unlock Legendary items as a transmog option is to find those items in Reaper of Souls.

What does Pool of Reflection buff do?
The length of the Pools of Reflection buff should be about 10% of your total xp to your next level, and that can stack up to 10 times. I’ll quote a post made by Nevalistis since she did a good job of explaining the buff.

“Also, while the basic percent bonus doesn’t increase with additional Pool of Reflection buffs, the length of the buff does effectively stack each time you claim an additional Pool. The amount of bonus experience you can benefit from should show up when you hover over your experience bar, and this value will increase by about 10% of the current experience required for your next level/Paragon level for each Pool claimed. This bonus persists on logout, but is lost upon death.”

So I’ve been farming keep depths in HC from level 32 in both Hard and Expert difficulties, depending on my gear. Elite monsters on Hard always had 3 affixes, and 4 on Expert. But a few minutes ago I ran into a rare monster with 4 affixes while being on Hard. The following champions had only 3, and the next two champion packs had 4 again.
This is actually not a bug as this is no longer tied just to difficulty. You will be introduced to a more diverse group of affixes, as well as a higher number of affixes per elite pack as you level. The high 50s is right about the time you are supposed to start seeing elites with 4 affixes.

That last is something to keep in mind if you’re not doing RoS or the PTR. In D3 the number of DiabloWikiElite Affixes is determined entirely by difficulty level, but with the new scaling difficulty it changes dynamically, right in the middle of your game. The thresholds are similar to the old difficult level progression, so right around level 30/50/60 you’ll bump up to 2/3/4 properties. Since another modifier can create a substantial boost in difficulty, it’s something you want to watch for when you’re leveling up your new characters, especially if you’re Hardcore, once RoS and D3v2.0 go live in March.
