diablo 3 closed beta

Blizzard has started the Closed Beta testing phase for Reaper of Souls. This means an expanded list of invitees, though it’s nowhere near Open Beta time yet, so don’t expect a huge rush of new testers. If you don’t have an invite yet, don’t panic and seek patience within.

Reaper of Souls™ Closed Beta Now Available

Reapers, and Westmarch, and Crusaders, oh my—the Diablo® III: Reaper of Souls™ Closed Beta has begun!

Invitations to this next phase of our public test are now being delivered to nephalem worldwide. If you’ve been invited to the Closed Beta, we’d love to hear all about your adventures on the forums, watch your live streams, and see screenshots and videos of your experiences in Sanctuary. Please keep in mind that Reaper of Souls is still in development, which means that all content in the Closed Beta is subject to change and isn’t necessarily representative of the final game.

For additional information about the Closed Beta including how to participate, copy over characters, and provide feedback, read on below!

There are some new features in Reaper of Souls in the patch, this morning. In addition to Cursed Chests and lots of skill changes, they’ve recalibrated Paragon Points a bit. Copying over my account from live, I’m at Paragon 154 with Hardcore and 124 with Softcore. Previously I was 151 and 121, and had leveled softcore to 122 during the first weeks of Reaper of Souls testing. I haven’t played any of the live D3 since RoS started, so this is just a recalibration of the paragon exp tables; not some change I made on my end.

There are also new tutorial/advertising screens when you look in the start menu, showing off the features of Reaper of Souls and encouraging you to upgrade to the product, plus some other interesting changes. Adventure Mode is now locked until you complete the campaign, there’s a new graphic in Tristram where the Mystic’s Wagon will go once you rescue her in Act Five, and more.

If you get onto the Reaper of Souls beta can you let Elly know via a forum PM and she will change your forum title.

If you are in the beta or on the PTR then look for ‘IncGamers Community‘ (case sensitive) to meet up with other windswept and interesting people from the Diablo: IncGamers’ community.
