Some more datamined Reaper of Souls shots for you today and these little beauties show the guild interface in action in the game. There’s also shots of the banner creation screen, login screen and character selection screen.

Thanks go to robbie1984 for putting these together.

  1. Fantastic images, and how exciting is it seeing it being version 2.0 and the whole RoS starting screen?! ME IS EXCITE! 😀

I think I might definitely have to get back into playing, and join my ingcamers D3 HC brethren in our own clan, if they will have me 🙂

    Bring on Blizzcon!

  2. There is going to be more to clans that I thought. It’s been a long time coming, 15 years about…

  3. This might be enough for me to fall in love with the series again.

  4. I’m so happy, I did a little dance.

  5. guess we can add guild discussion to the topics list for the RoS panel at blizzcon…

    • I’m excited and all…. and maybe I’m being a little too picky for this but can people stop calling it “Guild” Diablo has used the term Clan for years.

      • I think maybe Blizzard now call them clans to further distance the game away from previous years where they were always referred to as guilds with (potentially) guild halls. It’s stuck in the community.

  6. what is “Seasonal Hero” ?

  7. Seasonal is “Normal” character which competes on Softcore Ladder.

Also, videos of Clan Management are on.

  8. Can someone screen shot the chat channels that are supposedly in some zip files?

  9. there’s also this: http://i.imgur.com/mDq3WXx.jpg

I don’t know where to put it in my head tbh

    • sorry for my silly English

    • Like much of this datamine stuff, that screenshot makes me think that a lot of this is likely to just be placeholders and stuff they’re testing out. They’ve been pretty solidly stating that they’re not looking at the PvP stuff so a shot like that is likely just some quick testing interface thing somebody threw together.

    • My guess is that we are all QUIETLY hoping for a PVP annoucement in Blizzcon, quietly so we wont be dissapointed if nothing is announced =x.

  10. evil tongues would ask if it still makes sense with guilds when 95% of the playerbase has left

    • I was wondering how you would find a way to make a negative comment off of this one….

      • It’s pretty simple how these lonely and obsessed people think:

        1. Diablo 3 makes a mistake = lol of course they did, this game sucks
        2. Diablo 3 doesn’t make a mistake = lol it doesn’t matter, this game sucks

It’s kind of like watching One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, this peculiar mental illness we’re entertained by every news post.

    • Thank you for sharing your insight into the behaviour of evil tongues. Evil tongues might also ask if you shouldn’t seek counselling for your weird obsession and inability to move on from trolling a site for a game you don’t play.

P.S. Even if your angry little asspull statistic was true, that’d still leave over 600,000 players, by far the largest playerbase of any ARPG (around 20 times the playerbase of PoE according to the devs). I guess *all* ARPGs should stop adding any features whatsoever, as evil tongues might say.

    • its the other way around 95% is still there the other 5% of idiots left for the most stupid reasons.

      BRING ON THE CLANS

this xpac is so epic !

the stuff you read now from the idiots who left and want to come back is just pathetic !

im glad i don’t have to play with those fools , coz i play only with IRL friends ppl who really love the game and story.

i think my post gonna be deleted anyway , just for saying the truth.

  11. Have you guys seen this ? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=klYwX1D7EIE very cool…Donno if its new thought..Loved Malthy’s voice =p

  12. I want to be in Elly’s clan 😀

  13. Honestly, there are quite a few things in these screenshots that just look incredibly promising. Especially the Clan/Guild stuff… and this is coming from someone who plays solo almost exclusively. If multiplayer starts to function the way these images suggest that it might, I’ll be seeing much less of my beloved (and staunchly defended) followers.

Simply put, this looks very, very promising. The Clan/Guild system appears to be quite a bit a deeper than any of us could have reasonably expected. Ladders may be live earlier than most of us thought. “Best Ladder Paragon Level” sounds like exactly the kind of digital crack that I crave so badly from this franchise. And this might be a bit of hopeful thinking on my part, but the phrases “Clan Chat Speak” and “Officer Chat Speak”… could those indicate possible in-game voice communication? That would make multiplayer infinitely more appealing, as the stand-alone clients like Mumble are often more trouble than they are worth for Mac users. Cobble that all together with what we already knew was coming (Loot 2.0, the Crusader, Nephalem Rifts, etc., etc.) and there is absolutely no doubt what I’ll be doing at 12:01 on release day.

As for the inevitable incgamers clan, go ahead and count me in for that as well.

  14. Would like to see game reasons for being in a guild, other than the chat channel. In wow, there is a lot of content that requires a group, whereas d3 does not, except for ubers. Some possible game systems to promote guilds in d3-

    1 guild trading post
2 guild achievements, rewarding transmog skins or boa leveling gear
3 more events like ubers that require components to access
4 guild ladders, challenges and rankings
5 team deathmatch, with guild tag based teams
6 guild stash to give items to new members or for leveling gear
7 guild commodity exchange for trading gems and craft ingredients

The trade features could make the items looted from the bank only tradeable with other guild members.

  15. Clan Finder?!? What the hell for??? oO
Why even waste the dev time on it?

This isn’t wow where being in a guild is mandatory for perks, “real” progress, and lolchievments…

Take that away, give me D2 like chat channels UI, and /claninvite command.
Or better yet, since Blizzard used to be so good at copying & refining others work, take PoEs chat and improve upon it. LOL

I’d stop playing D3 if they put in #3

Gating content by “has a group” is one of the most odious trends in gaming (that luckily has died off recently).

  17. \3 more events like ubers that require components to access\. I think it means \events that require collecting keys, and other such drop\, not \events that require a group\.
Ubers are a much easier fight in a group but you can as well go alone, and key finding is perfectly possible alone, but is much quicker in a group.

    • Yes, events where it is beneficial to group, but not necessary. Ubers can be done solo, but you need all three machines and mechanics of some fights are far easier with a team.

Say loot runs require some key to open. With a group, each person uses fewer keys and rewards are the same.

  18. I would certainly stop playing (if you can stop something you aren’t doing that is) if anything required groups. I would likely stop if groups were heavily favored, even if not required.

I don’t mind it if a game is build for multiplayer only, like an MMO. But Diablo isn’t such a thing.

  19. Later today, Guild/Clan, Groups and rest of the game interface will be posted including new difficulties names, hero profile, account profile and all general information from the interface. So you can connect the strings (values actually) to the screenshots and videos that are posted.

  20. Do we have anything official on what a “Seasonal Hero” means in the world of Diablo 3?

  21. Thats exactly what I was hoping 🙂 ahhh that trailer!

  22. I like how they only incorporate your character avatars into the clan UI, can’t wait to join a great powerful friendly clan!
