Patch 15 Datamined Information - Diabloii.Net

Patch 15 Datamined Information

Patch 15 is a very small patch so there is nothing major but there are as usual skill changes and some string changes. We will be updating this post as we go with the datamining but there won’t be anything too major this time I shouldn’t think. There are only a few interface image changes worth noting, the rest are quite minor changes to borders and headers which are added to the datamining gallery.

We have also posted big lists of all the string changes in this patch if you want to look through those too.

Update: Skill changes have now all been added in our handy comparison table.

  1. IGR Playtime?  Is that a parental control thing?

  2. heads up, those Patch 15 profiles Coloured are not new, two of them were jsut moved around

  3. What does IRG stand for?

  4. “TrialDialogText” = “Thank you for Playing Starter Edition. May You continue to play BUT need to Upgrade in order to enjoy New quests, Higher levels, and More Monsters and challenging game Modes.”

This is intresting… are they gonna sell us new quest and diferent scenarios? Does anyone know anything about this?

  5. This is cool information, but you should maybe add a break and a “Read More” link. It’s currently taking up the entire first page of the site plus about 2-3 screens of scrolling.

  6. [g_killElitePack_0_desc] Defeating an Elite pack has increased your Magic Find and Gold Find. () from file: BuffTooltips is now: Defeating an Elite pack has increased your Magic Find and Gold Find. This effect ends if you change skills. ()

That looks like a nice way to prevent people from changing skills to adapt for each boss. You can still choose a cookie cutter spec for a specific boss but then you lose the magic find bonus. I think most people will choose a good overall spec and keep it for their entire play session.

    Excellent design in my opinion.

    • Absolutely, that sounds great. I hope beta patch 15 already contains this magic find bonus, I’m quite excited about it.

  7. Sweeping wind costs spirit? That seems odd given its (previous?) status as a spirit generator.

  8. wd better get ready to spend some mana. seems they upped all his costs

    • It does seem that way, but they also upped all the abilities/rune effects that give us BACK mana. Seems like that bulb will be fluctuating more. And it seems  that DoT abilities overall got longer durations and more total damage, which equates to around the same DPS.

    • The really big increase on the cost of locusts really jumped off the page at me.  The damage buff is certainly nice, but over 5 times the mana cost is very steep.  If you combined it with Pierce the Veil, that’s over 500 mana a cast.  Ouch.

Granted I have no idea what endgame mana pools will look like, but it still seems like spending 400-500 mana on one spell cast is going to leave a dent regardless.

The other skill increases seem to be at least manageable in cost though, and they did buff the mana generator effects to help compensate. Seems like it will be fine overall, just a bit more mana management will be necessary.

  9. barbs nerfed and wizards buffed
remind me wow where warriors got 6 years of nerfs anfd warlocks buffs)

    • One skill rune got hit and the whole class goes into the ‘nerf’ category?

If anything, the “30% resist all” passive (ranged/melee I take it) is the best thing any class has received.

  10. You wrote Chartge at the top instead of charge. Just saying!
Keep up the good work btw, I love this site.

  11. Put this data mined crap under a SPOILER warning.  I don’t want to see any of this.  God, you guys are getting worse and worse at this.

    • Ryan, seriously. What here is spoiler? The skills? The pictures of a credit card? I’m very careful about spoiling stuff but please tell me how saying what skills characters will have in game spoils anything?

      • First of all, I don’t know what is datamined in this particular situation because I didn’t look.  As soon as I see “datamined” I look away.  I learned my lesson when they posted the datamined stuff from later Acts that hadn’t revealed, and if I’m not mistaken, the Act bosses.
Is it that hard to think that when something is datamined that the general public isn’t aware of it, and perhaps doesn’t want to know it?  I’m not saying you can’t list it, but put a damn SPOILER warning for those of us who don’t wish to inadvertently learn something that we’d rather not.

        • I’ve done that with every one I’ve done.
Some other writers may’ve made mistakes with the boss photos and I can only say sorry for that. But this lot is just skill changes in the game. That’s it!

    • Are patch notes spoilers now?

      • You do understand what datamine means, don’t you?

These aren’t patch notes so I’m not sure what you think your point would be. The information datamined above wouldn’t be available in a patch note, at least not at this stage. Yeah, you’re excused. 🙄

    • Stop looking at content with the headline DATAMINED and most definitely stop clicking the bloody page to access even more DATAMINED information!

Datamined information should be considered a spoiler, my advice to you is scroll past anything labelled as such.  You know the score.

The images on the front page are small thumbs so you need to click on them to get any proper idea of what they are, it’s not as if we’ve placed large easily-recognisable stuff directly on the front page.l

      • Another good answer for him/her would’ve been:

Stick to this website: us.battle.net/d3/ ; there you be guaranteed no spoilers for 2 months 🙂

Actually, wait!… They will update all the info here into the “game guide” section of that site too soon! Nevermind, it’s best to bury your head for the 2 months…

Speaking of that website we all know and love, when are they going to update those legendary items? 🙁

      • I only clicked in so I could post the comment.  I don’t look at the content that has “datamined” on it.  And the thumbnails are quite large enough to see to content is within in.  For instances, all the images in the post are easily legible without having to go into the post.  Also, the later act images were also quite large enough to see what was in store.  That’s what I ask be kept for inside the actual post, the images!

I come here for the debate and other helpful information, but I don’t want to know about the lore or what will be in store for me when I play.

The fact that my posts are upvoted shows that I’m not the only person who feels this way.

  12. Just got this when trying to log in. Authenticator prompt. I entered my code but it errored. Not sure if it’s new but I’ve never seen it before in the beta. http://i42.tinypic.com/ivg1th.jpg

  13. were the new areas still accessible in late patch 14 though?

  14. Busy week, didn’t play late patch 14, but I just tried to log in (yes, I know servers are down for maintenance) and it asked me for my Mobile Authenticator.  Worked just fine.

Is authenticator new to patch 15, or was this in late patch 14?

BTW, for those of you that hate WoW and therefore never attached a mobile authenticator to your account, I suggest you do so for Diablo 3. Shady individuals will surely be trying to keylog account credentials so that they can sell your wares on RMAH. I didn’t take it seriously until a hacker got my wife’s account (keylogger method) in 2008… cleaned out her lvl 70 and the entire guild vault. Luckily Blizz restored everything by 12 hours later, but consider yourself warned… RMAH will be tempting for the wicked.

  15. Explosive Blast has a 6 second cooldown. Melee Battlemage Wizards are now illegal. Just tell us how we’re supposed to play your classes, Jay!

  16.
The Magic find / Gold find bonuses after killing elite packs didnt get in patch 15 it seems.. 🙁 sad, was looking forward to it!
[g_killElitePack_0_desc] Defeating an Elite pack has increased your Magic Find and Gold Find. () from file: BuffTooltips is now: Defeating an Elite pack has increased your Magic Find and Gold Find. This effect ends if you change skills. ()
it would have been mentioned in the official changelog :/, maybe patch 16 brings it :).

  17. Jar of Spiders sure got cheaper.
