Murkablo Blizzcon Pet Revealed - Diabloii.Net

Murkablo Blizzcon Pet Revealed

We got a sneak peek at him a few months ago via the WoW test realms, and here is in the official announcement. Yes, it’s Murkablo, a Diablo-themed Murloc, this year’s Blizzcon virtual pet.

An ill omen streaks across the sky over Azeroth’s Great Sea, heralding the arrival of this year’s BlizzCon-exclusive World of Warcraft in-game companion: the fearsome-ish Murkablo, aquatic protégé of Diablo III’s eponymous Lord of Terror! Anyone who attends BlizzCon 2011 or purchases this year’s BlizzCon Virtual Ticket will receive a Murkablo to call their own, along with a yet-to-be-revealed StarCraft II in-game gift.

As in previous years, you’ll get this little guy if you attend the show, or if you purchase the streaming webshow virtual ticket.

If you look closely at the image, you can see Diablo’s eyes glowing in the background, and almost hear what he’s thinking as he looks down upon the red and orange frog… “Son, I am disappoint.”

  1. i hate these pets, they should concentrate on the game not on designing this crap

    • I don’t think the Diablo-people made this thing. O_o

    • this crap is obviously designed by wow-folks. so no drawback for diablo development ;).

    • Do you REALLY want the person who designed this designing anything for Diablo 3? Think carefully, now.

    • “i hate these pets, they should concentrate on the game not on designing this crap”
This, a thousand times this.  Years ago, when I played WoW, they introduced these.  I can’t say that I ever wanted anyone near me that would want to run around with one of those.  But, then again, I’m an old, bitter man.

  2. I want a pet for diablo 3 next year. Maybe it will be an SCV that you can ride.

  3. Looks like the WoW team is losing more and more people. This model is a reskin of the Deathwing Murloc from last year’s Blizzcon.

  4. looks like ****. only a ****** would pay for that

  5. Now where oh where have I seen this before? 🙂

  6. Whenever I have bought a virtual ticket I have not once got my freebie.

    Cute pet though.

  7. They should add a cute, WoW-inspired summonable companion in D3 that follows you around until it receives any amount of damage (friendly fire included) and dies a horrible, bloody death. They could give it a bunch of different gruesome death annimations that vary based on the type of damage it received: fire, electricity, ice, slashing, piercing, smashing, etc.

That would be a good addition to the CE. 🙂

  8. I am sorry but this pet and WoW needs to die and now.

WoW deserves it’s props for being the first mainstream MMO but it’s beyond old, tired and needs to go away.  This horribly designed pet just cements that fact.

    Bring on Diablo III.

    • Instead of hating, try ignoring.

      • I usually don’t hate on anything but WoW kills competition.  There are only so many MMO players but WoW has killed the competition for years.

Granted, people have their free agency, but the formula is old, tired and has turned into nothing but a cash cow.

The term “too much of a good thing” comes to mind.  WoW and Call of Duty are really make me sad for the gaming world.

        • If retards can only copy WoW – there’s nothing wrong with WoW. WoW didn’t kill the competition. It’s just the best MMORPG. Before WoW every MMO was trying to copy Ultima. WoW mostly copied ideas from Anarchy Online. Now everyone copies WoW. That’s why most of developpers are retarded – was it so hard to just take ideas from Anarchy Online and make the best MMO?
There are different and interesting MMOs, which provide real, changing world (and it’s definitely not some shit like Guild Wars 2 or new Star Wars – two fresh copies of WoW), but they wouldn’t be popular even without WoW, cause that just the way it works – people don’t like to make real choice or be affected by others’ choice. They want to be able to play offline and believe no one in the world is getting advantage over them by paying with scary real money.

  9. i dont get it, are people still going to be playing WoW when D3 comes out, why?

  10. Hopefully Guild Wars 2 kills off WoW

  12. If you look closely at the image, you can see Diablo’s eyes glowing in the background, and almost hear what he’s thinking as he looks down upon the red and orange frog… “Son, I am disappoint.”

I had a good laugh at the visual. Poor Murkablo can never live up to Daddy’s expectations. But he looks so happy!

  13. Diablo 3 for WoW players…. What happened to Diablo 3 for Diablo players ?

  14. “Son, I am disappoint.” hahahahahaha

  15. Honestly, I’d rather have the Tyrael pet that was for something else entirely, I forget what.  This looks like junk.  Like a reMODEL (not a reskin) of the Deathy.  Which itself is a remodel of all the murloc pets so far.
Yes, it’s cute to have a murloc pet.  The murloc space marine was actually kinda funny.  But first ‘Deathy’ which was a stupid pet and now this.  Totally goes into the ‘not worth it’ category.
I bet if this was on the Blizz store sold independently as a pet that could be bought without the Blizzcon ticket then practically nobody would buy it except hardcore pet collectors.  =/
I’m actually a hardcore pet collector myself and I don’t really want this pet.
