Day[9] posted 2 long videos with both DiabloWikiJay Wilson and DiabloWikiNick Carpenter. Both are recorded before the game launched.

The first video is with DiabloWikiJay Wilson and clocks in at 22 minutes and covers the DiabloWikiRune System, Internal testing and the DiabloWikiBeta and finally the DiabloWikiAuction House and trading in Diablo 3.

At last we have the 25 minute long interview with Blizzar’ds VP of Art DiabloWikiNick Carpenter about the cinematics and game design. The interview also touches on other of Blizzards IPs.

      • Heh, I said that when I first saw it… that he clearly didn’t know he was going to be on camera that day or he’d have ironed his bloody t-shirt.

          • If it doesn’t have a print, it goes in the dryer. If it does have a print, I hang dry and then iron.

I gotta look respectable when my stripper girlfriend introduces me to her ex-con biker dad, right?ย 8)

    1. Why donยดt You guys cover whats happening in Europe now for the second day going ?
The game is virtually unplayable because nobody can log in. Error 37 across the board. The flame thread on the official forum had 1300+ pages yesterday with over a whopping 26.000 posts ! Europe is in flames !
Help us by covering that on Inc.Gamers !

        • Hmm… If I kill you, would your power pass on to me? ๐Ÿ™‚

And yes, it is sad over here.
Three days ago I’ve decided to go farm the hardcore AH for some moneyz. It was unstable and did not send me gems I’ve bought, so I played for the evening.
Two day ago was the patch day.
Yesterday servers were officially up, but them’s 37s.
Today is the same 37, plus 73.

        • Incgamers is not part of the fansite program and have no qualms about saying things and criticizing Blizzard that may be deemed things “blizz won’t like!”.

    2. OMFG AWESOME – error 33 because of a “service update” with absolutely no ETA.

    3. WTF is Blizzard doing in EU????????????
ย Thousands of people can’t log in in to the game for 2 days already, including me.there is a threat in eu.battle net with 3100 replays for login error 37
      I’m really disappointed of their server quality,and me and many others in eu can’t play the fu…ing online Diablo game

As one of the biggest companies in the industry it’s a big SHAME!!!
      Shame on you Blizzard,shame!!!
That is all I can say for now!

    4. Runeword “crafting” was so much cooler than what they have now. Sure, duping was a big problem, but I’m not talking about the ingredients needed. Replace “rune” with N Essences if you want.
But the awesome aspect was how you could apply the runeword “recipe” to any item of the required type and get exactly what affixes you wanted. It made white items useful, and allowed you to plan out a build to great detail.
The MedianXL mod went a long way in taking D2’s runeword system (which was meant to be mostly for end-game) and applying to all parts of the game. I greatly prefer that to the Blacksmith in D3.

    5. Ok, quick camera zooming has got to stop. Seriously. I’m watching and listening to Jay then suddenly I’m zoomed in on his nose then zoomed out 2%, then out 4%, in 3%, out 15%. It’s become popular in today’s cinema and I am absolutely not a fan. ๐Ÿ˜• ย /endrant

Aside from that, nice interviews! ๐Ÿ˜€ ย
