This is related to StarCraft II rather than Diablo III, but still interesting.

    Russian players who buy StarCraft II will only get a certain numbers of days to play free multiplayer (and only with Russians), then a monthly fee scheme starts.

    The idea is that the game can be sold a lot cheaper there, and give less features, but that an upgrade (total price of game + upgrade is slightly more than an European version of the game) will allow unlimited gameplay as well as playing with the rest of Europe.

    Blizzard has confirmed this is only planned for Russia.
