There’s a substantial community buff running on the Diablo 3 Asian server this weekend, with +100% multiplicative bonuses to DiabloWikiGold Find and DiabloWikiExperience. The event runs from midnight Oct 31 through Monday, November 3rd. It’s not yet known if we’ll see this same buff on the US/EU servers, but it seems likely. (News breaking on the Asian Realm first is usually due to the time difference.)

Here’s a translated quote from the official Korean site’s announcement. Halloween Weekend Diablo 3 EXP/Gold Buff:

We would like to invite you to the Festival of the top players of the Ancient Fallen Souls. All connected to the gun from which platform this weekend, Diablo III players will receive 100% more coins you kkeseoneun find additional experience bonus and 100% bonus .

As a bonus applied before they secured a bonus this bonus will be added to the existing numerical methods for multiplication (item, altar, projection of the pool, conqueror points, etc.) , will be applied in excess of the upper limit of the basic additional coins acquired 300%.

100% Bonus with 100% additional gold coins found additional bonus EXP event period are as follows: ( Local time)

  • PC version : October 31 midnight Friday – Monday November 3 23:59
  • Console Version: October 31 Friday 16:00 – Tuesday November 4 16:59
  • So I hope you enjoy your time in the Diablo III!

halloween-pumpkin2012-3As always, some of the translations from Korean are delightful. I want an exp bonus from “projection of the pool!” That sounds much tastier than just a Pool of Reflection, and who wouldn’t prefer “Conqueror Points” to “Paragon Points?”

The time is unclear in the translation, but the bonus will indeed begin at midnight tonight, aka as soon as Friday/Halloween begins, and it runs all day Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, ending at midnight Monday night.

Update: The buff is now live on the EU realm, and here’s how it boosts your stats. A naked character on Torment 6:

  • No buff: 1600% bonus to EXP and Gold.
  • With buff: 3300% bonus to EXP and Gold.
  • As you can see, it’s actually more than double, it’s double +100%, and that’s on a naked character. It exponentials up with other bonuses; just sticking 50 paragon points into Gold Find raised mine (with the buff) to 4150%, which is an 850% increase from the 50% Paragon points bonus

    1. Better get that Boon of the Hoard back out for a delicious synergy buff with Coins Acquired bonuses.

      This translation is amazing.

      Paragon 700 incoming.

    2. I might just relog into Diablo 3 to take advantage of this. Got deep pockets?

    3. I’m confused…wouldn’t midnight Friday mean it’s going all day Friday? Granted it’s not super clear with the fun translation, but that’s the way I read it…

      • The English version (now added) makes clear that it's all day Friday-Monday, ending at midnight that night. Not sure if it's different on the Asian server, or it's just confusing from the translation or how they write date/time over there.

      • They should have said Midnight on Thursday then.

    4. This is what it says on the European Battle.net app.

*For PC, the buff will start and end at the noted times in each gameplay region according to its local time zone (PDT/PST for the Americas, CET for Europe, and KST for Asia). For console, the buff will start and end in all regions at the same time, listed above. For time zone assistance, click here.

    5. I'm planning on hitting P600 min this weekend.

    6. buu why no magic find? they could have add atleast 50% or so.. cheap i dont need 100% gold

    7. Hahaha, been having fun with this quite a bit so far. Doing T6 runs on my DH wearing kymbo’s amulet, goldwrap belt, and those bracers that give exp on gold pickup. Got ~8500% gold find, getting around 30mil gold per rift, still need to do more testing to see if the experience from the bracers are actually worth it, but so far just been having fun with it.
