Diablo III Team Working On Act II Boss Encounter

The recent Activision Blizzard Third Quarter 2009 Conference Call didn’t reveal any plans for Diablo III in 2010, which means we might see the game on 2011 or further along.  A look at the Diablo III Twitter reveals more or less how far the Diablo III team is in the development of the game.

They are currently working on the Act II boss encounter going through a lot of concepting and prototype testing. Between developing the Monk and the unannounced class, they seem to be hard at work developing the first two Acts, and if we get to see as many acts as we had in Diablo II, it will be quite a while before we had the pleasure of spending hours click-festing our way through Sanctuary in full 3D.

  1. I suppose with the dwarves and elves not present…
Thank God, actually. It already has vampires, gouls, mummies, and all kinds of cheese like that. But then again, I thought the spin they put things like ghosts is kind of different. But here’s to hoping they put in more completely original stuff like lightning spires, their own brand of monsters like unburied, and so on. I mean, maybe the movies they choose to get inspiration from are the most famous ones (like The Thing) and this dampens the potential for fresh ideas.
