Diablo Fan Art Watch #192: The Anniversary Part I – Heroes

Welcome everyone to a special Diablo Fan Art Watch. This week we celebrate the one year anniversary of the release of Diablo 3. This time around I’ve brought forth a collection of my favorite pieces of artwork representing one from each class.

There has been a plethora of amazing works over this last year and I hope in the future to see even more amazing pieces.

Artwork by Deiv Calviz (x2), Dmitriy Prozorov, Sung-a Park, and Dylan Pierpont.

Many artists visit frequently, posting works in progress looking for feedback and conversation. You don’t have to be “arty” to join in. 1. I can remember years ago when fan art was clearly a step below official art. Not to criticize, since I can’t draw worth crap, but it was almost always immediately obvious that something was just a fan’s version, which served to make the official one look even better.

That’s no longer the case. The official Blizzard artwork is better than ever, but many offerings by fans are spectacular, often good enough that I would not bat an eye if told it was official artwork.
