Diablo Fan Art Watch #184: Blizzard’s Latest Batch of 2013

Welcome friends to the latest installment of the Diablo Fan Art Watch. This week I bring you two new pieces of artwork that were recently added to Blizzard’s Fan Art Gallery.

We begin with the first piece we know from two weeks ago featured in watch #180 featuring Auriel the Archangel of Hope by Tamplier. Congratulations to the artist having this added to blizzards gallery and acknowledged for their amazing work.

Lastly we have a piece featuring Diablo by Robert Maldonado showing the lord of terror in a dark foreboding setting with demons glowing eyes looking onward from behind.

Artwork By: Robert Maldonado, and Tamplier.

  1. I always wonder how much of the whole Angels’ look and theme and design in Diablo is just based on the artists enjoying the glowing filament wings and wanting to draw more of them. It’s not like they serve any real lore or functional purpose, after all.

    • Yeah I personally just love the flow and unique look of them. They just; while subtle-just add so much to them. When I try and draw old tyrael the wings just added to it. I loved the flowing the wings gave off. Personally that was one of the many reasons why he was one of my favorite characters. That and he was just a bad a**.
