    1. Oh look, another layer of RNG in a game that is mercilessly driven by compounding layers of RNG.

Primal ancients are just another nonsensical feature no one asked for and further proof that the D3 devs are incredibly clueless.

      • Primal Ancients? Really? Does anyone even have to say how bad this idea is? The only way they could possibly salvage this concept is if they buff LoN and have it work with Primal Ancient items instead. Oh god, I’d love this game if that were the case. But no, Blizzard doesn’t care about build diversity & their only reason for doing this is to power the under performing sets with indirect buffs so they can move up a grift level or two.

    2. Primal Ancient? Wtf is this? What’s next on the list? Uber Super Ancient?Lmao Blizz. I think you can do better,or at least you could long time ago.

    3. I like RNG in terms of very rare items, and that not everyone gets to run in the best of the best gear. The affixes on those very rare items should be very good no matter how they roll though. In D2 it didnt matter what values rolled on uniques because all affixes were set in stone and the ranges were very tight.

In D3, there is way too much RNG on the Affixes as well as the affix ranges themselves, and gg items drop way too often. To make matters worse, there is no capped difficulty, so no matter what gear you find, you will never feel powerful.

Also gear means everything in D3, so that sucks. In D2, more than half of your damage and defense came from skill trees and your level. Uniques and Runewords as well as godly rolled Rare items simply pushed your skills further. I liked that itemization model MUCH more than D3’s.

    4. I’m surprised that there’s been no announcement of work on D4.
I mean with no subscription fees, how is D3 still making Bliz money? Are people still buying D3 and RoS?
They’ll introduce a new Necro class, but no actual content other than a few uniques and sets?
I really appreciate the work being put into D3 and new patches that actually add content and whatnot, but at what point do they just call it a day and give the fans a new game, story, classes etc and move on?
Make a super evil D4 story with some gnarly classes and skills already.

      • I guess we all read to the part with Primal Ancient and stopped reading, thinking “what the f*ck Blizzard?!”
I will continue to read now, brb

aaah, I see. so getting level boosted from 1 to 70 by a friend on T6 is out of the question now?

great, at least all those times where some numbskull talked to Tyrael BEFORE the bonus bounty was completed win. that was probably a favorite in the forums. because shit matters.

sorry, but it feels as though until we can scrutinize the DLC coming *soon* good news will be hard to come by.

and with no more caches, how can I now go bounty hunting, fill my stash tabs to the brim and open them at a later time and spam my screen with never-good-enough RoRGs and blood shards?!

also, instead of constantly tweaking affixes on legendaries or introducing new legendaries to the pool of mostly-trash anyway because of sets, why the hell aren’t they giving those really “primal” ancients ahahaha, could this be, naaaaw, never, … like Skorn or Mempo of Twilight affixes to make them useful?

Why give us any new weapons at all?! Give us additional skills and runes, for God’s sake!

        • “so getting level boosted from 1 to 70 by a friend on T6 is out of the question now?”
No, you could never join >T6 games prior to lvl 70, this is no change, there’s no requirement for sub-T6 games (also, the requirements are for public games not private).

“Primal Ancients” – And then we doubled it….

    5. this is just another desperate intent trying to build some longevity for this game, people in seasons are wearing full ancient gear in a week.
Remember the “Ancient gear is only for dedicated players, not for everyone” statement (or some BS like that), but then they introduced LoN.
Man, i want a different team for D4, please go back to the roots. i want my SkillTree back!

    6. “Primal” Ancient items? Seriously? Why cant they see this is not the type of itemization tweaks the game needs or people even want? This is just sad.

Also, changing the Barber so that only a WD can use it because that is how they want you to play is the worst mentality the Devs can have and something they are obviously running with.

    7. Well, I just bought this game and I’m loving all of this. The armoury and mats stash are massive improvements and I’m delighted that after all this time Blizzard are still freshening things up a bit. Piaw, piaw.

    8. Would much prefer a new and interesting system rather than a system on top of an already frustrating system.

Normally I give in and play each D3 season for at least a few weeks. This season not even the event could tempt me.

Path of Diablo (the D2 mod – not a typo ^^) instead for me!

    9. I’m here to complain and gripe about dev text, patch notes and d3 in general and I’ll throw in some gripe about d4.

      • d4 is not gonna happen for a long time with a bunch of stupid crybabies like this community
why should they ever make another , it is clearly they can’t do anything wright in your eyes !

learn that D3 is not the same as D2 and your miserable life would be a bit better !!

        • Learn that D3 not being the same as D2 is not the only thing wrong with it. D3 is also not the same as PoE or grim Dawn, or Titan Quest, or anything, really. That isn’t what makes it bad. What makes it bad is that it’s completely devoid of any feature that contributes to the longevity or replayability of the game. That and it’s boring as hell. Even the best patches that they’ve released only manage to make the game feel fresh for a few hours or a few days, tops. Blizzard fought tooth and nail with the community for literally years to avoid the inclusion of seasons and now seasons are one of the only things keeping this game alive. No amount of new content is going to save D3. The existing content is already good enough to do that, but the devs are so obsessively compulsive about their need to dictate everything a player does when they log into the game that they don’t allow that content to shine through.

    10. I’d like a change in how attributes are calculated: I’d rather see a [natural – meaning: No Items/Paragon/…] attribute value counted as 100% attribute effectivity (, e.g. Strength 125 = 100% damage bonus). Could increase gradually with each level, by taking the average of all attributes. With the attributes below average having a lower and the attributes above a higher effectivity than 100%. (This would turn ‘natural’ attributes into a base multiplier for attribute points from other sources – and having one or two points to distribute each level atop the autodistribution, could pose some interesting choices regarding which attributes to raise up as secondary or teritary attribute …)
