    1. Loved the movie, by the way …

    2. @ Sprint : Good design, wrong placement, I’d say. Candidate for itemization pool across all classes?

      • Interesting. Like if any character could get it on a random item? (a la Teleport in D2).

        • To provide Rare and Magic items with more value, yes. Though I’d pull skills used in a cross-class skill pool from the respective class skill options. (A cross-skill “less commonly used” in a certain class could just not roll on his respective class gear. Limiting potent skills to certain slots would allow for better control, could easily turn into just another way of pidgeonhole-ing, though.)

Going from the legendary affix idea, the cross-class skill pool could be complemented by a set of affixes offering skill manipulations of lesser impact, each just polishing a certain aspect of the respective skill to the next level but not to a truly gamechanging degree. Strong enough, though, to provide a different way of specialization. (For example, settling on 4-set boni instead of wearing a full set for a higher degree of build flexibility …)

PS: Sorry, hanging through a bit today, which clearly reflects into my writing. Just hoping it was clear enough, anyway.
