    1. @ XPac: If assuming its release already being in the near future, one cannot overlook the importance of the last week in June, as both DII-Vanilla and LoD were released in the same week. A 15 year anniversary of DII-Vanilla release, right the weekend after releasing the 2nd expansion, couldn’t possibly be something Blizzs PR overlooked advising to set aim at.

    2. Great podcast as always.

After Delsere’s took a bashing a couple podcasts ago, I was eager to see how it performed with the latest patch. Time will tell what makes it to live, but it sounds really freaking awesome.

I had never really considered playing a Crusader either and Katniss and N3rdwards may have swayed me.

Overall, I agree with Katniss that 2.2.0 seems like the final 1/3 of what RoS should have been. I’m very excited that there are more options now for end-game play and people aren’t pigeonholed into cookie cutter builds.

      • Yeah, things are getting better on the gear front with new additions coming into the pipeline, but there is still the problem of sets having the skill bonuses chosen for the player by the devs. This is still a source of tension between the players and devs.

If I want to use Natalya’s set then I must use ROV with it, before with the old Nats set I was not being pushed towards a skill I may or may not like, in Nats case I am not a big fan of ROV. There is also a play-style change with the Nats set of the DH becoming incredibly cool-down centric for your main skill, this is very weird for DH’s as the set completely screws up the balance between hatred spending and discipline management.

If the set bonuses were more broad then this kind of problem would cease to exsist. We are definitely playing the way the devs want us to endgame.

So there is still pigeon holing going down.

        • I don’t really object to Nat’s being RoV, since it wasn’t anything before, and really only the 3 piece bonus was worth acquiring. Now Nat’s has a theme, though the powerful 2 and 3 piece bonus is gone. Though now the 2p gives you the potential for casting a lot of quick RoV, though you need the 6p for it to grow really powerful.

The DH set I object to is the new UE set, with only Multishot given the 6p buff, when it should really work with all spenders, or at least some other long-range ones. I’d like to see Rapid Fire and/or Strafe work with it, though to be fair, neither would really pair with UE in some ideal way. Though Impale or Cluster certainly would. (Not that any set bonus could ever make Impale worth using.)

    3. Yeah, UE is incredibly strict, with that said, I plan on using the two piece set bonus which causes 1 discipline to be gained per generator cast. This will allow my DH tank near permanent Shadow Power – Gloom and it’s 35% DR and LOH.

It’s adding crazy amounts of durability and sustain to my COT tank build. I just love taking a set like that and making it work for a play style they never intended.

    4. 2-things…. Stash space…We wamted more before, and now with the always more/new items mentality , i have no idea how i am going to manage the stash space, espacially playing multiple class and season/non season …(cant imagine someone who play this game like me , but hardcore @@)

2-it would have been nice if instead of going the deadman legacy , they added a quiver for nats set !!! maybe too much but i can dream !!(with the same bonus DML has 🙂
