Diablo 3 Patch 2.6.1a Patch Released

Some patching goodness coming down the pipe for Diablo 3 with the 2.6.1a update for PC and Mac. It’s not a massive one by any means and there are no major changes.

An update to Diablo III patch 2.6.1a is now live in the Americas for PC / Mac! Check out the full patch notes below to learn all about the latest changes.

Important: Please note that you will not be prompted to download the patch until it is live in your home region. If you are logging in from a European or Asian client, you will need to wait for this patch to release in that region before it can be installed. Additionally, if your home region is in the Americas, you will be unable to log into Europe or Asia using Global Play after the update is live until those regions have also patched.

  1. Actually I m happy about this update.. hopefully I wont lag randomly now.

  2. Game’s pretty good as it is. There’s some set and class imbalance, but I don’t think that’s ever going away, and outside of a full-blown expansion (which I doubt very much we’ll see at this point,) I wouldn’t mind some new zones.

  3. Actual content would be nice, but let’s be honest: how many of you actually played through the new zones they rolled out in adventure mode, mostly the shrouded moors and the barbarian area, to get the whole stories in each?

  4. And how many of you pretty much ignored them outside of getting your cube and going back?

    • The game was badly flawed on release, as there were few viable skill/build options and decent items were made impossible to find. Because Blizzard wanted us to use their Real Money Auction House.

  5. Whats the point of posting this patch at the end of this season? Can this be even called a PATCH?

  6. You know? add new classes, new acts, etc. People would buy them. So if they are throwing the towel on this game it’s THEIR choice. We have been here eagerly awaiting new content for ages.

  7. Game is great. There’s some set and class imbalance, but I don’t think that’s ever going away, and outside of a full-blown expansion (which I doubt very much we’ll see at this point,) I wouldn’t mind some new zones.
