Diablo 3 Patch 1.0.7a is now live.

Today’s weekly maintenance included Diablo 3 Patch notes with enough detail that it’s worth noting them. In addition to the promised Wizard bug fix, there were a few other general fixes and minor changes/improvements to your Diablo 3 experience.

    Bug Fixes

  • Fixed an issue introduced in 1.0.7 that caused: Archon Disintegration Wave, Disintegrate, Energy Twister, Meteor and Ray of Frost to grant double the amount of Arcane Power when Arcane Power on Crit triggered.

  • The Enchantress should no longer sometimes cause an error to occur after casting Focused Mind.

  • Players are no longer prevented from progressing when another player joins or leaves the game during the “A Royal Audience: Talk to Asheara at the Gates of Caldeum” quest step.

  • Fixed several issues that could cause crashes to occur.
  • Players will no longer be killed by DoT damage after zoning out of Scorched Chapel.
  • The Siege Breaker Assault Beast and The Savage Behemoth will no longer reflect damage from pets.
  • Shortly after the patch went up a number of players were hampered by a technical error preventing logging in that has now been remedied. The blue replies on that make for exciting reading, so click through for all the details.

    An unexpected error occurred while trying to install

    god, after maintenance i get this msg while launch the game!!!!! Anyone got this problem???
    Roraks: Apologies for the slow response. We’re already looking into this, but may need additional information.

    To start, can you guys confirm if the error is popping up after hitting Play or is the error coming up in game?

    Roraks: Thanks all. The information has been forwarded and we’re working on it. I’ll provide another update once I know more.

    Roraks: Looks like we’ve made some changes on our side to try and correct this.

    Blues, pls reply as to why this error is recurring everytime there is a patch?
    Roraks: I’ve not seen this with previous patches, but then again I don’t generally roam around the D3 Tech forums.

    I wasn’t home to try the patch when it was fresh, but pulling it some hours later it loaded just fine for me. Now if only a patch could force people to buy more of my auctions so I could afford that Unity with IAS to make a little more copacetic the MP4 farming I’ve lately upgraded her enough to handle…

      does this mean it won’t even reflect damage back TOWARD the pet ?

      because I’ve always felt that’s where it should go

      if you’re a Witch Doctor and your zombie dogs are gargantuan are causing damage then should receive the reflection and die

      when they die from reflection, the cooldown time should automatically reset and you should be allowed to re-summon them (providing you have the mana)

      and if they’re referring Hydras as Wizard pets then the same applies, Hydras should “be extinguished” when they receive too much damage

      • That makes sense about the WD pets, but I don’t think hydras should “die” as they don’t have life to start with. It wouldn’t really make sense and cause more issues if they can now die in certain instances but not others.

    3. That is an old pic of Unity ring, the new pic has +1 random affix.
      Just to clarify for those whom noticed.

      • It’s not actually old, it’s a bug in the current DiabloNut item displays not showing random affixes on legendary rings and amulets. (They display fine on all non-jewelery.) It should be fixed shortly.
