  1. I personally like the Treasure Goblin upgrade.  Since they updated the amount of gold that drops, it felt like the Treasure Goblins were dropping sub-par items.  This may even further promote the idea of venturing forth and exploring the areas when magic finding as opposed to just boss runs.

  2. the treasure goblin is fun, even with his limited loot i would beat up on him just cause. on hardcore this guy may get ignored since he tends to lead you into trouble. better loot for sure if a good thing. would like to see him actually drop an item i could use though

  3. “The monster affix “Thorns” has been renamed to “Reflects Damage””  (sigh)

  4. “The names of a player’s RealID and BattleTag friends should no longer appear as [] when chatting with them.”

    Suuuuurrrreee

  5. Ah, quest selection change, so controversial.

    /pops popcorn

  6. Crap, they added the authenticator protection 🙁 looks like I will not be able to use my friend’s account anymore even tho he doesn’t mind :\

  7. Has anyone ELSE tried going into the treasure goblins portal yet?? ….haha

  8. They buffed Haunt for the 100th time… maybe NOW it will be useful.

    • 575% over 15 sec (duration) makes for ~38% per second… so no, I can’t see it being comparable to any of the direct damage spells in the beta areas of D3, not unless you intend to play the WD very passively.

But it should be useful in later acts of the game as another DoT skill in his arsenal.

    • It’s probably due to my ignorance but in a game where you’re supposed to kill monsters with some relative quickness I just don’t understand the point of DOT spells.  Maybe on a boss but those I wouldn’t think are very frequent.  But, then again…what do I know?

      • The point is that using DoTs + direct dmg > just direct damage. And that it’s a skill to make sure DoTs are always up. Theoretically, anyway.

      • In addition to bosses, DoT’s are incredibly powerful in PVP.

      • 1. Stops monster regen, or at least slows it down.
        2. Like in PVP, as said above. Puts pressure on your opponent and forces them to take actions like blowing cooldowns, potentially.
        3. It’s a fire-and-forget spell that has the potential to “cast itself” for free if it kills the original target, and a new target is in range.
        4. You can fire it through walls and objects, usually. As long as it is in line of sight.

I don’t care for it myself because it’s boring, but it does have its uses.

      • It can be useful for sure, but I don’t understand why they would categorize it as a “Primary” skill with poison dart and fire bomb. It just doesn’t make sense. Who goes around spamming haunt as their main damage skill? If Blizz QA are doing that then they need to get fired… It should be switched out with spirit barrage or plague of toads.

  9. Wait, so all quests are repeatable now?  When did that change come through, coz I must have missed it…

    • Been like that since we got our hot little hands on the beta.
You finish a quest, and then when you exit back to the character lobby, you can re-do that quest or any others that you’ve unlocked. This patch lets you pick up the quest at any stage instead of completely re-starting it.

Makes me wonder if there’s some super long quests.

  10. wtf, thorns… I thought Thorns/damage reflection was kicked out of the game, along with all those stupid immunities everything had. I seriously HATE thorns. It’s such a stupid modifier. Sometimes you can kill yourself before you even know something had a thorns aura on…

  11. Can anyone clarify this a little:
The costs of the first and second Shared Stash tabs have been increased
First tab cost increased from 50,000 gold to 100,000 gold
Second tab cost increased from 150,000 gold to 200,000 gold

I know since last Patch, prices for stash stacks have gone up. 10k for 14 slots in first bag. I never got to second bag. Will now new 14 slots be even more expensive in the first bag (20k/14s) or what?
    Thanks.

  12. “If you find the play experience undesirable you may exit the game and resume this download.”

    What’s this about?

  13. Hardcore characters will now be correctly placed into a separate queue from Normal characters when using Public Games to queue for quests

     AW MAN!

  14. they are just now building hardcore, luckily its not much effort.
