In news that will surely shock you all, there are problems and delays in enabling the new beta patch to Battle.net

    We’re in the process of bringing down the Diablo III test server to deploy Beta Patch 10. Maintenance should begin at approximately 11:00 a.m. PST, and we anticipate that downtime will last approximately 9 hours, until 8:00 p.m. PST.

    Update: 7:30 p.m. PST

    Maintenance has been extended for 2 hours, until approximately 11:30 p.m. PST. In the meantime, Beta Patch 10 notes can be viewed here.

    Also, as a heads-up, we’re currently experiencing some issues with Breaking News, which means the latest updates regarding the status of the Diablo III test server may not always be visible in the game client. We’ll be providing updates in this thread as they become available, though, so stay tuned!

    Update: 11:15 p.m. PST

    We’re continuing to work to deploy Beta Patch 10 and anticipate that it could take another hour to complete the necessary tasks. We anticipate that the game will be available again by 12:00 a.m. PST, and appreciate your patience until it is.

    So um… “soon.” (I’d give even money they can’t get it working and call it a night.) Props to Lylirra for the frequent updates, at least.

    We’ve encountered a few issues applying Beta Patch 10 and are extending maintenance by 2 hours, until approximately 2:00 a.m. PST.
