Details of Diablo 3 Console Exclusive Items

Blizzard has released info on console-exclusive items. These are all included with the game for players who buy with pre-orders, much like the Angelic Wings D3CE buyers can use to fly fly fly their way to glory in the PC version. Both consoles get the cosmetic bonus items, while only PS3 users also get the bonus items with useful stats and features. (I’d use Leah’s Ring right now on my Paragon characters, were it available in the PC version.)

Here’s the Blueth:

All preorders of the Xbox 360 and PS3™ versions of Diablo® III will include the following diabolically enticing items, available to all five mortal heroes of Sanctuary—be it the Witch Doctor, Barbarian, Wizard, Demon Hunter, or Monk (players who’ve been keeping on top of console-related news will notice that the bounty for preorders has expanded):

  • “Infernal Helm” – Wearable at level 1, the console-exclusive Infernal Helm in-game item confers a +EXP bonus to help you whip your new PlayStation® or Xbox characters into shape
  • “Angelic Wings” – Taunt the forces of the Burning Hells by sprouting a cosmetic pair of glowing angel wings
  • “Bottled Cloud Dye” – Dye your armor sets a cloudy white with this heavenly dye
  • “Bottled Smoke Dye” – Dye your armor sets an eerie smoky black with this sinister dye
  • Exclusive PS3™ In-Game Items:

Players who purchase Diablo® III on the PS3™ will also receive five additional PS3-exclusive in-game items:

  • “The Hero’s Journey” – A Legendary shoulder item that includes a “Journey” style scarf
  • “Drake’s Amulet” – A Legendary amulet that bears a striking resemblance to the ring that Drake wears around his neck in Uncharted
  • “Leoric’s Gauntlets” – These Legendary gloves summon a ghostly skeleton to fight for you
  • “Crimson Angelic Wings” – This cosmetic enhancement calls forth a set of red Angelic Wings
  • “Leah’s Ring” – A Legendary ring, originally given to Leah by Deckard Cain, that’s usable at level 60 and provides bonuses to Magic Find, Gold Find, movement speed, and defenses
  • Please note that console preorder bonuses and PS3-exclusive in-game items cannot be transferred across platforms, and players will need a connection (to Xbox LIVE® or PlayStation® Network, respectively) in order to receive these items.

Weird that PS3 users get all the cool items, while there’s nothing functional for XBoxers. Did Bill Gates steal Bobby’s chair at the annual entertainment tycoon luncheon, or what? Perhaps Xbox bonus items will be revealed later? We’ve months until the release date, after all.

Update: Blizzard later reworked these items with improved stats and lowered level reqs.

    1. When I first saw Kymbo’s Gold I knew something went horribly wrong.

    2. I thought that on the console versions they would be shipping with itemization fixed, a quote about console versions having less items but better drops if I remember. 2 life regen on lvl 57 shoulders?

This is idiotic, its a PR release, the least they could do is make the exclusive items look powerful. If these don’t have set stats and you roll them in game, I feel bad for the 99.99999999% of the users who roll crap.

      What a joke.

      • But they have fluttery banner things…

        • After reading this forum for years, dating back to pre LOD, this is my first post and I get a response from Flux and upvotes. Not too shabby.

I realize that post probably sounded very negative and like one of those jaded “D3 sux PoE fer life” people. Truth is, I’m addicted to D3. I must admit though, seeing these lackluster “exclusive items” dashes some of my hopes for their supposed itemization fixes that are inbound.

I realize exclusive items shouldn’t be OP and game breaking, but an item should have more value to you then cosmetic. The wings are the cosmetic pieces, the items should have functionality that you may actually want to use, like the Infernal Helm or Leah’s ring which both seem legit. The others leave me wondering though, even if the iLvls are wrong in the screenshots as Lylirra confirmed. Thanks poster below for pointing that out btw.

Anyways, here’s hoping that drawing conclusions on the itemization fixes based on this(our first look at console items) is a poor choice.

          • PS I would edit my grammar but I am noob and don’t see the Edit option.

            • I wonder how much effort is being taken away from the PC version and put into this version…

            • Sorry Simba, wasn’t meant to be a reply lol.

On that note though, I really do wish the edit option was back again. Why did it go Flux? It’s a pain in the ass not having it.

    3. Lylirra has confirmed that the level requirements are incorrect. Infernal helm requires level 8, Leah’s Ring level 60, and everything else is level 1.

      • Makes a lot more sense, at least. Does anyone realize that Leah’s Ring actually “breaks the rules” in terms of highest MF on a ring (without a Set bonus). Max is supposed to be 25%. 5% isn’t a big deal, but maybe that’s a sign of what’s to come in terms of changes to Legendaries? Expanding beyond the “set limits” for rolls and whatnot? Hm…

        • Damn it, I need some edit here.

“Does anyone realize that Leah’s Ring actually “breaks the rules” in terms of highest MF on a ring (without a Set bonus)? Max is supposed to be 20%.”

    4. The Journey shoulders actually look nice aesthetically. Leah’s Ring looks decent at first, but the +movement speed is really the only unique buff there.

    5. For level 57-60 items, these look down right awful. I know they don’t want the pre-order items to look like they are mandatory, but the stats look like they should be on a lvl 1 item or so. Hopefully, the stats are still being tweaked.

The games are the best past-time for my son especially the online games. During holidays and in free-times he used to play the online games as he was very interested towards them. I have no idea about the Thrones game. Anyone familiar with this, Please produce some attachment links regarding this. Thanks in advance.
