The PTR 2.1 patch landed on the servers and here are all the important PTR 2.1 skill changes in this update compared to the previous PTR build.

  2. The first thing I think of when I think of "Rocket Storm" is icy balls of cold.

  3. I see they delivered on the promised monk changes.

  4. They seem to be aiming for poison damage being exclusive to the Witch Doctor (just as arcane damage is exclusive to the Wizard). Has the Demon Hunter any poison skill left?

  5. if the damage of original bombardment have been increased then what about the impactful bombardment rune & what about targeted rune,what does it do now???????

  6. Im so glad theyre ruining k'mar tenclip on my fire dh….

    • how is your K'mar tenclip fire dh ruined,I don't think your strafe gaining the drifting shadow effect include also dmg type,I think you'd just gain the 100% movement speed but your dmg is determined by the rune you chose & almost all of them still do fire unless you were using rocket storm.

      • It says the drifting shadow rune now causes strafe to do lightning dmg. My strafe is currently a fire skill.

        • have you tested it or are you just assuming it will gain not only the effect but the dmg type,if you haven't tested it then do & see when you use one of the fire runes which dmg type does it do,fire or lightning?

  7. Blizzard seems intent on nerfing +elemental skill dmg. That +50% fire dmg suddenly seems not so awesome when it only applies to one skill.

    • And everybody saw this coming. The endless cycle/loop of "good elements" and "bad elements" that will be buffed/nerfed ad infinum was going to happen when they put in this stuff. I've got a good wand w/ +disintegrate that I've never used b/c I have zero +arcane gear, don't have enough gold/mats to reroll all my enchants from +fire to +arcane, and need to farm up a ton of new pieces of gear for this one stupid weapon which is only marginally better than my "agnostic" Thunderfury (no extra element damage). "Oh boy! I found a new awesome weapon." *checks gear* "Oh no! I can't use it b/c I have to reroll everything to switch my skills/elements to make use of this stupid thing!" Ugh.

    • I was in support of some elemental rune diversification back when they made the first couple passes. Before that many skills had no elemental diversity, essentially rendering them useless if you weren't using that specific element.

      I'm starting to get a bad feeling though, and I am afraid they just don't know when to quit. The last thing I want is to be limited to only one specific rune on each skill just because I want a lightning build, a poison build, etc. The best part about the skill rune system is that it gives you all these different fun ways to modify your skills (well thats the theory anyway).

      It is ironic. In order to give us more choices in terms of what skills we can use, they are inadvertently reducing our choices of runes within those very skills.

  12. The text inside the red/green boxes is very difficult to read on my iPhone (dark gray font against a dark red/green background). It was like this last time you put one of these features up, too – is this something on your end or mine?
