Last year on August 5, 2009, during the Q2 earnings conference call, Activision Blizzard made a few announcements about their games line up. Mike Morhaime announced there was room for two Blizzard games to be released on 2010, but held back the title names.
This probably brightened a few Diablo III fans, but chances are he meant the Cataclysm expansion and Starcraft II. The last conference call didn’t give any love to Diablo III beyond the announcement of the fourth class [the Monk] at Blizzcon 2009.
You can all set your timers and wait 20 more days for the upcoming fourth quarter and calendar year 2009 results to be held on February 10, 2010. Hopefully, Mike Morhaime and Bob Kotick have something to say about the plans for Diablo III.
Blizzard Entertainment has not yet announced the fifth class of Diablo III. Will there be a Blizzcon in 2010? A new Blizzard Worldwide Invitational? Last year there was no invitational, and it was there in 2008 where Blizzard unveiled Diablo III. One of those two Blizzard events could be the stage for the last class announcement. Will Activision Blizzard reveal any worthwhile news about Diablo III at this upcoming conference call?
