Caption This #16: Barbarian Sculpture

It’s been a while since we ran a Caption This nontest, and this is as good a time as any. The visual delight this time is one of the many odd shots documenting the creation of the large, lovingly-molded Barbarian doll statue created by Sideshow Collectibles. Take a look at the dozens of other shots of the WiP stage of the sculpture in our Merchandise Gallery.

Incidentally, if you think the burn victim amputee Barbarian below is hideous, check out this one I almost ran in its place.  Beware! It’s essentially eunuch porn. is not responsible for any damages incurred to your eyeballs by the plasticine horrors inherent in that image.

  1. Hmm interesting, the an-other RTS most be referring to Command & Conquers as 2006 was the year it came out, I think it was you see now with FPS they are the blockbusters of the gaming world therefore all the money men want more of these.

Just a few other things, nasarius Realms of Arkania III was 1997 not 1996. Though I doubt diablo had much effect on these games (well OK it might of boost the funds a bit). Also Diablo was an ARPG not an RPG like Fallout, it clearly had no effect on Daggerfall as that was 1996.

Sass; Reread the OP it clear it’s all about “Diablo 1” not 2 or 3, the “today” comment is referring to adventure Games only. And there’s still Adventure games being made, that are at heart the same as the traditional adventure games (Telltale games anyone? Monkey Island releases?).
