The first batch of Blizzcon tickets went on sale this morning, and as expected, they sold out in minutes two seconds. If you weren’t able to grab some today, you’ve got a second/final chance coming up Wednesday evening. Set your chronometers!

The initial allotment of tickets for BlizzCon 2011 has now been sold out. If you weren’t able to get tickets this time, you’ll have another chance on Wednesday, May 25 at 7 p.m. Pacific Time, when a second batch goes on sale. In addition, tickets to special pre-BlizzCon dinner to benefit Children’s Hospital of Orange County will go on sale Saturday, May 28 at 10 a.m. PT. In-depth coverage of BlizzCon will also be available through the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, which is offered as a multi-channel Internet stream and also via DIRECTV in the United States. Keep an eye on BlizzCon site for more details in the near future.

I heard from some RL friends who were able to get tickets this morning. Did any of you guys enjoy similar success or suffer cruel failure? Or do you see no reason to buy tickets at all, since you’re certain to be in the DiabloWikiDiablo 3 Beta, which you’re sure will be running happily along by October?

Update: Lots of strategies shared by successful buyers in the comments. Check it out if you’d like to improve your odds next time.
