Blizzcon 2011 Merch Sales Dates Announced

Blizzard has revealed the special sales dates for Blizzcon attendees and PPV buyers to spend money on Blizzcon-exclusive merch. There’s no word yet on what the merch will be, though you’d think we’ll see some of the DiabloWikiDiablo 3 merchandise they announced at ComicCon: the DiabloWikiMistress of Pain socks, DiabloWikiTyrael hoodie, DiabloWikiDemon Hunter coat, etc. Here’s a quote from the Blizzcon.com page that puts a special twinkle in Bobby’s eye. (Thanks to AgentBilly for the tip.)

Whether you’re attending in person or watching at home through the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket, you’ll have an opportunity to purchase select merchandise from this year’s BlizzCon Store before the show begins in an exclusive, limited-time online pre-sale through the online Blizzard Store. The pre-sale includes items that are still being prepped for the big event, but you’ll be able to pre-order them during the sale.

Dates for the BlizzCon pre-sales are:

  • BlizzCon 2011 ticket holders (attending in person): September 16 – 20
  • BlizzCon 2011 Virtual Ticket buyers: September 23 – 27

For those who purchase the Virtual Ticket after September 27 or DIRECTV customers who order the BlizzCon 2011 Pay Per View event (available beginning October 10), a smaller selection of BlizzCon merchandise (including the BlizzCon 2011 key art T-shirt and poster as well as items from past BlizzCon events) will be on sale September 27 through October 22. We’ll also be holding a special post-BlizzCon sale on November 4 allowing BlizzCon attendees, Virtual Ticket holders, and DIRECTV customers who order BlizzCon one final chance to snag something from the show.

There wasn’t a great deal of Blizzcon-exclusive D3 merch offered last year, but I’d expect a lot more of it this year with the game so close to release. You can see last year’s Blizzcon merch offerings here.

Also, if you do click through to the Blizzcon post, beware of the comments. Your will to live may be sapped.

    • Well you could still order the PPV. You just need an email for that. And with that you’d have access to the blizzcon-only merch. I doubt that would be worth $40 to you, but it’s an option. Or else try to find someone else who is ordering and get them to order merch for you.

    • You hear that everyone? You are now forbidden from spending money on anything Stan doesn’t think you should buy.

      • Oh, not at all.  I don’t object to you spending your money the way you see fit.  I simply reserve the right to look down on you as a result of your nonsensical spending.

Incidentally, did this site do away with dislike buttons?

  1. I don’t understand what to complain about this. People use to complain they can’t buy the merch if they don’t get the ticket, now people complain Blizzard are greedy? Seriously?
