Blizzard with Patch 2.1.2 Bugs and Hotfixes

A few bugs that Patch 2.1.2 didn’t take care of have been hotfixed out of existence. Blizzard with Patch 2.1.2 Bugs and Hotfixes:

Do Ancient Legendaries drop below lvl 70 in torment?

Not that I’m aware of. Ancient Items are max level only just like sets.
Nevalistis: This is correct. Only level 70 items have a chance of rolling as Ancient, and only in Torment I or above.

“You’re not the Boss of Me” achievement after patch

Lord of Bells surely dissapear from the list, but i have all others checked and achievement is still not earned
Nevalistis: This is a known issue, and one we have a hotfix incoming to resolve. I should have incoming hotfixes up later this morning. Just have a meeting to run to first. 🙂

…Aaand this hotfix is now live!

Clan unavailable?

I cannot access my clan (chat, see who online, etc) because error “Clan unavailable” since patch. is anyone get this issue too?
Tyvalir: We’re currently looking into these issues, and while we don’t have an ETA on when they’ll be fixed just yet, we’ll be sure to post as soon as we do have an update. In the meantime, please be sure to direct similar reports to our Bug Reports forum here.

…Hey everyone, we just implemented a fix that should clear up recent issues with Clan and Community functionality. Please let us know if these issues persist. Thanks!

I’ve done hundreds or Rifts and never seen the Secret Cow Rift, so I’m happy the achievement is finally accessible… though I’d prefer if they’d bumped up the frequency. I like if some Achievements aren’t easily obtained, though this one seemed to be a bit too rare. Had you guys found it? Most players I’ve ever asked say they’ve never seen the Secret Cow Rift.

Console 2.1.2 Hotfixes Applied – Please Read!

Greetings Heroes!

With the release of patch 2.1.2 on the Xbox One and Playstation 4, we also deployed several hotfixes to address the following issues:

Nephalem Rifts

  • Resolved an issue causing Nephalem Rift levels using the Abattoir tile set to roll without an entrance or exit
  • Resolved an issue that was causing Treasure Goblins to spawn in Greater Rifts
  • Items

  • Resolved an issue causing the Ice Armor buff to drop off of Wizards when performing actions such as looting items, using waypoints, or interacting with NPCs with the Halo of Arlyse legendary ring equipped.
  • Resolved an issue causing the legendary items The Crudest Boots, The Swami, and the Madstone to have no name in certain localized versions of Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition
  • Resolved an issue causing the proc from the legendary sword Sever to instantly kill monsters afflicted with long-duration Damage-over-time effects
  • Please note that since these changes were deployed as a console hotfix as opposed to a full client patch, there are some key differences of which players should be aware.

    Parental Controls:

  • PlayStation 4 users who are Parentally Restricted will not receive these hotfixes. In order to modify Parental Control settings for the PS4 console, please refer to Sony’s Support Sites:
  • PS4:

    New Gaming Sessions:

  • On the PS4 and Xbox One, users may be required to play online* in order for the hotfix to be saved between gaming sessions. Ultimate Evil Edition games created on one of these consoles while offline may not have these hotfixes enabled.
  • On the PS4, users will only need to download and install the hotfix file once while signed into their Playstation Network account. After the hotfix file has been downloaded and installed, no additional steps will be required. The hotfix will remain active even if subsequent games are created offline.
  • *It is important to note that this is not a change to Ultimate Evil Edition’s optional offline play mode. Ultimate Evil Edition games created on Xbox One which were previously hotfixed, but are no longer connected online can still be played as normal, but without the hotfix change.

Users on both platforms must be signed into their respective PlayStation Network or Xbox Live accounts to be eligible for hotfixes (PlayStation Plus and Xbox Live Gold subscriptions are not required, however). The hotfixes will automatically download in the background when you progress to Ultimate Evil Edition’s Main Menu.

      • I saw that and also wondered what it meant. There aren't special Rift tilesets for the console, though they do have some special Last of Us themed monsters. Maybe Abattoir is Halls of Agony a1 tileset, with the torture implements and blood? I can't think of any other bloody ones, assuming the name is accurate like that.

    1. I've seen the cow rift once over 2100 rifts, and the only time I saw it was the day patch 2.1.1 (I think?) came out when apparently it was glitched and it made the first rift you opened the cow rift. So yeah, imo it's a little too rare.

    2. I really don't like the way they handle achievements like this. I think of achievements as a way of tracking progress and seeing what's still to be done. As you say, if something required for an achievement is so rare, then they should look at making the thing less rare or accept that the achievement will be very hard to complete.

It also annoyed me when one of the lore book drops was bugged, they removed it from the requirements from the appropriate achievement. Then they obviously fixed the drop but they can't add it back to the achievement since some people will have already completed it without picking that book up, so now there's this random lore book floating out there that you don't know to look for.

    3. i got the achieve pretty early in season one on HC … but that was the ONLY time i saw it ^^

What i didnt enjoy quite as much … is getting my first Witching Hour at the end of the season .. after spending those thousands of shards … the fact that it was ancient was only a tiny recompense

    4. 6000+ rifts completed and still haven’t gotten the cow rift, so they should have rather tuned up the chance for it then remove the boss kill from achievements.

    5. I've had the cow rift twice , guild invites so more people could get it .

Did they remove the Lord of bells from the list ? RoFL bowing to the masses again wahhh , wahhh so many rifts no achievement , definitely appealing to 6 year olds now this game .

Pointless having hard to get achievements when people are just going to do the usual and whinge over it , wahhhhh I've spent 600 shards and been like level 70 for 3 hours and don't have my T&T / Kridershot / (insert your own legendary here )

And I am what's called a "casual" by you lot , not played for a few month , when I do log in its maybe for an hour or 2 and I do not have every drop in existence , my main since release , (granted I took 14 month off because the game was crap) , was a WD , do I have an SMK yet ? No , do I whinge every 5 minutes on the forums ? No …..So there you go , my little whinge , can't beat em , join em .

    6. I wouldn’t mind if they removed achievements completely and just focus on making the game what it needs to be.

      • I agree, D3 is not exciting for me anymore, and not because I’m playing constantly, last time I played maybe 2 months ago..
