1. Get the correct software

2. Installing Diablo & Hellfire

3. Adding items to your character

There is a way to convert your multiplayer Diablo Character into a Hellfire Character and keep your stats and equipment OR cheat in Hellfire.

STEP ONE : - Get the software

You will need to download the following:

1. Enigma's Diablo Trainer  Beta 5 Build 4 - Download {176kb}

2. Diablo Item Extrator  v0.94 - Download {144kb}

3. As many Diablo items as you can possibly find. {ITM format} Find some in the Diablo Shoppe

Alternatively, if you require all three files download the zipped pack of all three here {381kb}.

STEP TWO : - Install Diablo/Hellfire

Now that you have these things, you need to install a regular working copy of Diablo.

Once Diablo is installed (e.g.: c:\Diablo), rename the Diablo directory (e.g.: C:\Diablo-old).

Now install Diablo again (e.g.: C:\Diablo). Once you have done this you should now have 2 copies of Diablo on your Computer in 2 different directories (e.g.: C:\Diablo-old and C:\Diablo).

You may now install Hellfire into the 'C:\Diablo' directory.

NOTE : For those avid Diablo players like myself, you may already know how to use the Trainer and Trader. If not, LEARN because the following is not intended for those in-experienced at cheating.

STEP THREE : Adding items to your character

1. Begin a regular 'Diablo' multiplayer game using 'Local Area Network'.

2. Multitask (press and hold 'ALT' then press 'TAB' then let both keys go) and start 'Enigma's Trainer'.

3. Use the 'Trainer' to raise your stats and player attributes. Once you have done this, save your character with the 'Trainer'. Your saved character will be the name of your character and a .DMP extension. (DMP=Diablo Multi Player or Dumped character)

4. Quit 'Diablo' and quit the 'Trainer'.

5. Run the 'Extractor'' and edit your saved .DMP file. Add the ITM's that you want to have your character wear.

REMEMBER : USE THE CHART BELOW TO ANTICIPATE HELLFIRE's CONVERSION. THIS IS THE REASON WHY I WROTE THIS FILE

6. Now that you finished adding the ITM's you want into your character’s .DMP file, save it.

7. Quit the Extractor.

8. Begin a regular 'Diablo' game, multitask and start 'Enigma's Trainer'.

9. Restore the .DMP file that you just finished adding your ITM's into.

10. Multitask and verify your characters changes.

11. If you are happy with the changes, save the character in 'Diablo' by quitting.

12. Quit the 'Trainer'.

13. Now here is the fun part, in your 'C:\Windows' directory look for the following files:

    i) dlinfo_0.drv (This is your first saved Diablo multiplayer character.)

   ii) hrinfo_0.drv (This is your first saved Hellfire multiplayer character.)

For both Diablo and Hellfire, the '0' above is the first saved character. If you have  more than one character saved, you will have several .drv files. (e.g.: dlinfo_0.drv, dlinfo_1.drv, dlinfo_2.drv, etc...)

NOTE : Be careful NOT to overwrite a character you like. If you do, OH WELL !!!

14. Rename your Diablo saved character file to a Hellfire saved file. (e.g.: rename dlinfo_0.drv to hrinfo_0.drv)

If you followed all of my instructions above, when you begin a multiplayer Hellfire game you will have a character that contains all the ITM's and STATS you gave him.

ENJOY :) §T¥X
