Diablo III Patch 2.0.2 – v2.0.2.22274 is Live Later Today

A small patch with some bug fixes went in during the usual Tuesday morning realm maintenance… which has been extended until 2pm… err, 3pm. The patch notes are available, and can be seen below.

Diablo III Patch 2.0.2 – v2.0.2.22274

GENERAL

  • Experience requirements for Paragon 500 and above have been increased.
  • Disabled sound notifications for Clan and Community chat.
  • Bug Fixes

  • Gold can once again be purchased and sold on the Real Money DiabloWikiAuction House.
  • Items with the highest rank of “Critical Hits grant Arcane Power” affix no longer require level 61.
  • Level 60 Crafted Amulets now properly require DiabloWikiFiery Brimstone to craft.
  • DiabloWikiSokahr the Keywarden now reflects a more reasonable amount of damage with his whirlwind attack
  • The portal leading from the second Hell Rift to the Gardens of Hope 2nd Tier now functions properly
  • The experience bar has been removed from the Followers UI
  • The DiabloWikiSiegebreaker Assault Beast no longer performs other actions during his grab attack animation
  • Glad to hear the Act 2 KeyWarden has been nerfed in the insanely high damage his spinning reflect missiles did. Now that Wizard can do more than one build and Demon Hunters aren’t useless, those classes should be able to venture into the Dhalgur Oasis without risking instant off-screen death for everyone in the party.

Update #1: A bug with Follower spam on leveling up has been known-issued and will be fixed next time.

Update #2: The exploitable Leoric guaranteed drop on Reset Quests has been fixed and moved to Diablo, as discussed recently.

Update #3: The Leoric guaranteed drop is not yet fixed, actually. Nevalistis corrects herself. It will require a patch.

    1. Sweet deal! Looking forward to crafting a new amulet. Drops suck on those almost always.

    2. I may have missed this somewhere, but I still wasn’t clear on whether the Diablo Drop was guaranteed if we reset quests on only Act 4 exclusively, or whether we had to reset all quests and play through Acts 1-4 consecutively to get the drop?

    3. I would think it’s Act 4 reset only, not acts 1-4. That would be too much for everyone and no one would reset just for a Leg drop at D if they had to redo the entire thing.

Interesting they re-upped Gold buying and selling on the RMAH. I wonder why they did that?

    4. But why did they not fix the cursed chest exploit in the 2nd or 3rd cathedral level of act I ?

    5. the forum post about a2 kw was a success, great. Also glad to see new amulet crafts.

    6. mira eamon was not nerfed?

    7. While the skeleton king drop was removed, diablo does not yet drop a guaranteed legendary.

      • As I can understand this change requires a patch and the patch didn’t make it into todays maintenance. So no changes were made yet. SK still has 100% guaranteed legendary drop, Diablo hasn’t.
I just completed Diablo (didn’t drop any legendary), then did a reset and completed SK (did drop a legendary).

      mira eamon was not nerfed?

It was, such a shame, people have done that since the game went live almost 2 years ago.

      • Well, I just checked and that fix isn’t live in Europe yet. Might grab another few cheap paragon levels while I still can.

    9. Good to see they’re fixing the level req. bug on Wizard gear…it was getting annoying finding all sorts of gear my Wiz couldn’t equip.

    10. She might forgive Hagdrid but she sure as hell doesn’t forgive all the sociopaths that kept putting him up to it for her tasty XP.

    11. Am I the only Scandinavian here who hasn’t been able to connect to Battle Net since around 5-6pm yesterday (Tuesday)?

I couldn’t even get on eu.battle.net on my browser, and after talking to both blizzard tech support irwine and my ISP (Telenor), we found that my ISP cannot ping battle net.

Now it’s down for maintenance, and I sincerely hope it all works out by 11am when we’re back from it.

      Frustrated Vega here.

Same here, cannot connect to battle.net since around 18.00 CET yesterday.
Could not ping the address, and trace route stops at Telia servers.

isup.me shows that battle.net is up, but the IP i resolve it to is not reachable.

Looking around, several people had this problem around Scandinavia.
It seems to depend on which ISP you are using. Friends of mine could play without problems yesterday evening.
My ISP Glocalnet is owned by Telenor, but i think the problem is at Telia's end, since they are responsible for backbone internet around parts of Europe.
